The ORU Lake Kayak: Great for Van Life Travel
We were so excited to get our new folding ORU Lake Kayaks. we share our review after using the kayak in 2 countries and 5 lakes.
We have been very happy with how the ORU Kayaks track in the water, even in windy conditions. The Lake model has been very stable for us as we've now used them a handful of times.
The ORU Kayaks have been more convenient than our old inflatable kayak.
We can honestly say that it can be assembled in less than two minutes since I have timed Rich assembling the kayaks. 😄
With our inflatable kayak we found that we were not using them as much as we wanted due to the hassle and time it took to inflate and assemble our old kayak.

It is pretty cool how well thought out and engineered these boats are. They started off on KickStarter about 10 years ago. They kept making new models but they started to get real complicated. They went back to their roots when they came out with the Lake model. Only 1 minute to assemble and to disassemble. Great to have both of them fit in the garage of our van under the bed. 2 kayaks, 2 bikes, fire pit, BlackStone grill and tools. Happy New Year.

We purchased ours as kick starters for $500 each. Not sure if the current price but they have gone up some. They occasionally have specials. 😀
