does orthotropics work for adults?

Hello sir My upper two teeth was pulled out. I have opened the gap to put implants but now my orthodontist is asking to close that gap again. He says implant wont last long because my gum has moved inside above that gap. Gum above all teeth have come forward with the roots of the teeth. I think even through implants could fit. Should i colse that gap again, please can you help me out. My next appointment is on Thursday. 😭😭😭😭

How did you open up the spaces? I’m not a dentist but I would say not to close for now. Take a breath. If you don’t feel comfortable take a break until you feel more confident about what is going on. I would suggest during that time you look for other opinions. There are lots of specialists out there! The dentist you have now isn’t your only option. You opened the gaps for a reason. Don’t go back on the work you’ve done and what you are trying to achieve. Remember that retraction has a lot of negative affects that people are working away from. Good luck. Better let the spaces remain open, or plage bridges on them

Or do messialization of molars, instead of retraction
