It's called storytelling. Some episodes are used to show events unfolding and building up. Not every episode's can be action they can't just go from A to Z. Like klaus and hayley going to help the girls have led them to a connection to the prophecy

I was excited when these guys made it to season 3 because like the rest of the The Originals fanbase favors season 3 as the best season so I was excited to watch times6ix react to this amazing season but since they finding it boring it kinda makes me not excited to watch their reactions. But hey I truly understand everyone won’t like certain things and certain seasons so it’s their prerogative but it still sucks they don’t like this season so far. This is the best season and some of the best storytelling I’ve seen from the TVDU

We're enjoying season 4 so far :)

Also, we learned that lucien and the ancestors are working together, and the whole set up with the white oak bullet is because the plan needs the white oak and freya together

These are the decisions Nikalus make but make him the evil one. If Niklaus was there, he’d burn the white oak stake without thinking twice but would be seen as destroying the family rather than saving them.
