Had mine for 3 years now! It's a freaking workhorse! They also released a new firmware update that adds input shaping (which means really fast printing! All of my prints have had been halfed in print time) Thank you Prusa for making amazing, reliable printers, and still caring for years old printers!
You can see that they really tried hard to reduce price when you look at the size of the haribos ;) Great video, i love the new printer! Cheers, happy weekend!

I ordered my mini a couple of weeks back. So excited. Have been watching this video on repeat :D
I can’t wait for my mini. Love my Mk3s! Thanks Josef
Love the attention to detail. It's a beautifully designed machine with ease of use built right in. So, standard stuff then 👍
I can't wait till mine gets shipped. Very excited!
Mine has shipped out on Friday to Australia as I ordered within the first 24 hours. Can't wait to assemble it and running once I receive it! This will be my third printer from Prusa (1 x MK3 - upgrade to 3S and MMU2S soon, plus one MK3S in the enclosure). Very detailed tutorial :-)
Love your videos it help alone. Please keep making these videos. Thank you guys
Ordered mine. This will be my son and I's first 3d printer. Looking forward to it. I know my son we'll be thrilled with making things.
Great and clear tutorial, thank you very much - printer works like magic :)
Been waiting for this video to come out, yaay :)
Watched the video once all the way through. Then watched it again hitting pause as I did the assembly. This was a pretty good guide, though a new one is needed for the slight modifications in the MINI+, but as advised, I followed along in the book to catch those minor changes. Thanks for a fantastically easy build! I'm typing this as I listen to that first test print making music in the background. :)

The instruction book isn't accurate either, though. For example, step 23 shows "connecting the Y-axis motor," passing a wire through a hole in the side of the electronics box. Neither that connector nor the hole exist.

Mine Prusa Mini+ arrived this week. Today I have unpacked a now its assembly time. 😊
the guide is good the printer is great. good job!!!!!
5:57 After buying and assembling a Prusa Mini, I can now understand why there are so many scratches on the rail. Putting in that screw is a pain. A NIGHTMARE. It just simply refuses to engage the threads in the T-nut.
Not fully convinced yet, but the temptation gets stronger and stronger by the days going by...nice little machine indeed.
Great device good job prusa
Looking great 👍 Thanks for sharing 👍😀🎆
Congrats!!!
I've watch your journey to make prusa, and that's awesome. hopeful i'll able to get prusa mini one day to be makers 🤔.
For anyone wondering, This printer is phenomenal for the price. What I would suggest though is just ordering the semi-assembled kit like the one shown in this video. The unassembled kit is not horribly complicated, and the instructions are great, but takes WAY longer to build than this, so I would say it's worth the extra $30 to skip a lot of the hassle.
I know mine has been shipped, seing this makes me even more driven with excitement for it!
Ok I’ll buy this one! will be my first 3D printer 😍

@@420247paul Yeah, the Mini is my first printer and I'm rather disappointed. Crappy cable management, bad access to screws and nuts. Y-belt loose & impossible to tighten without a modified replacement part. Grub screws overtightened and stuck. One print comes out great, then the exact same one is covered in strings and unusable right afterwards. Definitely not the smooth experience Prusa led me to expect. Is it even worse than that with the Ender?
@Fivizzz

@@Kaucukovnik666 If the Y belt can't be tightened then it was put together wrong. Just untighten the screws to the tensioner pulley (the one at the front) so you have 2-3mm slack. Then pop one end of the belt off the part that connects it under the heatbed, then put it back on a couple teeth further (as much as you can). Now you have 2-3mm slack on the pulley screws to tension the belt properly.

Any chance of this coming to retailers in AUS? Exchange rate would be holding more than a few back at the moment
Not sure if I should buy this now. Or if I should wait for a refresh. One thing that worries on me on buying this is that it does not fall under the mk3 line. Meaning that it may not be upgradable as stated on their website for the mk line of printers. Any ideas or insight? I know its a good printer. A good price. I'll prolly buy it. But will this printer receive upgrades like the mk2/3 did?
Buying this one just for the gummy bears. I better not be disappointed.
i am wondering if this assembly is also geometrically accurate meaning if X,Y and Z are at exactly 90 degrees
Please make a video like this for mk 3s it would be very useful

I just ordered a Mini Plus after having an Ender 3 V2 for over a year.
I was unable to progress past step 18 in the manual (arrange gummy bears and eat three of them) because the gummy bears melted during shipping. This video did not help either since it completely skips that step. If I just bite off 1/3 of the glob of melted gummy bear, will my printer still work properly?
Wenn i build the lack enclosure for the mini + do i need 12v or 24 v ledstripes and how where i do connect the cables?
Cann't wait for my but i still think acording to the shipping Table i will get my in March 🤔 (Orderd 02.11.2019)
Anyone know the model of Tag Heuer watch he is wearing?
Please make sure we get a tub of Haribo with Prusa XL 😁
FYI for New people building there mini+ on the Y motor cable part the hole where you run the cable had bee moved. it not longer in the back it under the box. Check prusa site for photo. this drove me crazy . i thought i had a bad unit.
Bought this printer since I thought it was going to be easy to set up. The lcd monitor wire is so weirdly put into the hole. When it comes out, it doesn’t even come out nicely. It even bends in the video too. He had trouble getting it in and putting into the final resting place. The 3 screws set up are not designed well at all. The first long screw couldn’t go in all the way so I thought it was a bad screw or something wrong with my machine. The pictures and videos didn’t show it well enough and took me an hour to figure it out. Also lining it up with the moving bracket plate is so hard to do with a heavy and weird object. Turned out I have to push hard to put the screw in. The one on top took two more hours to line up and can’t do it. Josef could put the screw and mounts on the bottom and permanent brackets to screw it in. There is no reason the metal bracket needs to move since you put it in its final position anyways. For being a $600 printer, this is really bad. I’m thinking of returning since a printer is useless if you can’t even set it up. A $200 printer is easier to set up. Says it’s easy, but it’s definitely not easy. I don’t mind plugging stuff but the way you plug all the stuff is easily fixed to plug in from the outside without opening the box. Seems simple, but very very frustrating. Josef could definitely make a more consumer way to plug stuff in. I understand if printers were first designed but it is 2023. With all the money he charges for each printer, I expected a higher attention to the set up and more features.. I hear how dependable the printers are(the reason I bought it, coming from a competitor), but it is very frustrating.
Just ordered one. Lets hope the Mini+ has better reliability the forums don't sound to promising.... im a little scared I can't afford the Mk3

Some weeks ago I've ordered a Mini+. I have heavy modded CR10 and AnetA8 (Bondtech and Hemera). Also a JG Aurora. Now I've also ordered a MK3S+. I will swap out my tinkering printers with genuine Prusa and just have some reliable quality printers that aren't going to need any upgrades like the chinese machines. Although... they print fantastic. (Aurora: okayish) I don't know... my other 2 machines just look horrible. They are only built to work and with cables hanging everywhere. It's time: I need the real product now. Prusa 💪👍 But I'm afraid, I can't sell my old ones 🙈

Pre-assembled
At 7:30, this is not correct, at least not in the kit I received. First, the black plastic well into which the LCD frame attachment fits is now very shallow. It is not bowl-like as briefly shown here or depicted in the manual. Also, the remaining screw for it is the M3x20, which is too long and will not screw in far enough to tighten the LCD. I tried the extra M3x12, which is too short and also will not tighten. I had to dig up an M3x16 to attach the LCD. It's tight, but I wouldn't call it robust.
I have never owned a 3D printer before but I am growing more interested in the Prusa brand now that they are in an affordable price range for me. Are they generally noisy? I prefer it not to make any more noise than a cordless drill would.
@Prusa3D

Compared to cordless drill definitely not. I wouldn't have a running 3D printer in the room where I sleep, but if you put it a few rooms away from bedroom, you won't even hear it at night. - Mikolas
I had high hopes for this printer. I bought the Mini, upgraded it to a Mini+, keep the firmware up to date, etc... I spoke with customer service many times. It just doesn't print reliably. In a year, I got perhaps 2 dead simple prints from it and spent countless days troubleshooting it. Prusa refused to take it back and give me a credit towards the MK3S. I left a 1 star review on their web site which they have not published. I feel burnt and don't trust them.

This printer seems like it could use a bit more rigidity in it's design. I think the linear bearing/steel rods with printed brackets construction seems like a weird choice for a cantilever design. Why not V-slots like an ender 2? I feel like it would be more rigid with an openbuilds roller system and v-slots. We'll see though, I'm gonna hold off an let the reviews come out before I pull the trigger on this one. I do like the bowden choice as I'm a weirdo who actually likes bowden printers. I like to print fast.
At 7:25, the last screw left in the bag (for attaching the screen) is a 12mm m3. On my build, it was not long enough to engage the nut in the t-slot. Luckily, they provide some spare screws. The extra m3 20mm long screw will work.
@BOTzerker
3 жыл бұрын
Just received my first mini+ yesterday and putting it together today 5/1/21. My manual calls for a 12mm m3 to attach screen, but the bag with the 4 metric screws contained the following: 1x 12mm, 2x 20mm, 1x 40mm. The 12mm is used on top to attach the XZ axis so I was wondering if I should use the 12mm screw from the spare screw bag. I've now decided to use the second 20mm screw to connect the screen. Maybe Prusa now knows a 20mm screw is needed, but they should include an addendum sheet of paper with corrections to the manual.
