- Oud & Lute - King of Instruments -
The origin of the oud belongs to the ancient times and similar instruments were used by the Babylonian and ancient Egyptian. Until today, oud is played as the "king of instruments" in Arabic culture.
The oud found his way to Europe in medieval times and it became "lute". During the Renaissance the lute was also regarded as the "king of instruments".

I want to thank you for creating this channel and let us enjoy your music. I have always loved and admired the Japanese culture since I was a little girl, and ten years ago or so I fell in love with the Turkish one too. Of course, the sound of the oud playing a big role there and it has quickly become one of my favourite instruments. I can't tell how happy it made me to find your channel today. I was feeling extremely irritable to any noise or loud sound, and I had tried to relax listening to some music, but I couldn't find anything I could enjoy. Then I found you and that's all I've been listening to for hours, all I've been looking for for ages - it's not my first time trying to listen to some good oud music. So yes, thank you. Your May It Be gave me a very strong idea of how elven music would be passed on and transformed by Men in the Middle Earth, especially in the land of Gondor, and being a Tolkien lover, this just adds to the wonders and the joy you can create. I don't understand how anyone could complain about the sound of your instruments, or what you do. Please, never listen to them.

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback! Your positive words give me energy to continue my creative work. Special thanks for listening to my version of May It Be! I don't generally play covers, but with this piece I was too curious to see how it would sound on the lute. Please don't worry about hate comments. They don't make me nervous or anything. They're just jealous and I deal with them in a distanced but consistent way.

Nao, you are truly rare and exceptional-your music is astounding 🎶 and touched my heart deeply through your expressive and free-spirited approach. Your competence and humility, honed over 30 years, shine through every note ✨. It is anything but monotonous and strikes at the heart in an instant, revealing profound depth and emotion ❤. As someone passionate about sound therapy, music is a cornerstone of my meditations, spiritual practices, and daily life. Your explanation regarding 432Hz is thought-provoking. To delve deeper into the topic, here are some studies that may prompt you to reassess your point of view (or point of hearing if I may) : " The Effect of 432 Hz Music on the Endocrine System and Autonomic Nervous System" by Tsutomu Nakada and Minako Mizuno, published in the Journal of International Society of Life Information Science (ISLIS) in 2018. This paper reports on a study that examined the effects of 432 Hz music on the autonomic nervous system and endocrine system compared to 440 Hz music. "Exploring the Perceptual and Emotional Effects of 432 Hz Music on University Students: A Pilot Study" by an interdisciplinary research team. This study focuses on subjective responses to 432 Hz music, assessing emotional and perceptual differences among listeners. "Sound Healing and Therapy: An Exploratory Study of the Effects of 432 Hz and 440 Hz Sound Frequencies" published in a journal dedicated to alternative medicine. This paper looks into both the physical and psychological responses to different tuning frequencies, including biomarker analyses.

Anyone saying your ambient music "too monotonous" is a fool, doesn't know what "ambient" means, or both. I wonder if that same person thinks a running stream is monotonous? Or perhaps the ocean surf? Or birds delightedly chirping on a spring day? Ambience is not something to be focused on intently for hours at a time. It's the underpinning for other things. I use your ambient tracks as the acoustical motif for my entire weekend. You are a master of your craft and it is indeed a privilege to have access to your works. Thanks again.

Reflecting on your words, there are no coincidences. The universe expresses its beauty as a consequence of incalculable sophistication. It could be said that complexity is a stream of consciousness that yearns to be exposed or in your case to be heard. I am grateful to witness your gift and as a result its power to heal.
