He's pathetic, apparently even Luke Skywalker learned of Clone Wars era Jedi like Dooku and Mace, and he viewed Mace as one of the best Jedi and absolutely hated Dooku.

Yoda feared the possibility of a rinse and repeat course, as Dooku became a dark side politician and Sith after being personally trained instead of being trained through the intentional classes set by the Jedi. This unfortunately, would be the same fate for Anakin, who became overwhelmed by his isolation throughout training and turned to the dark side. Both Dooku and Anakin were powerless and seemed to always be targeted by bad events happening around them (the solar storm that wiped out most of Dookus home and the death of anakins mother while he was still not fully light sided at heart. They also both experienced separation from the most important parts of their lives, their families, Yoda simply feared that Anakin would become overwhelmed like Dooku, and lose faith in the force itself. NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE JUST THOUGHT ID GIVE BACKSTORY

The Jedi Order wasn't perfect, as everything is, but it's the optimal way to ensure thousands of space wizards not to turn evil. Are there any padawans who were assigned to their masters legally, or is there an ancient Jedi law that every padawan must be a violation of at least one sacred rule?

I sometimes imagine that Yoda knows he’s contributed in major ways to the return of the Sith, and is why he’s so serious in I-III, and finally seeps into madness and acceptance in IV-VI.

He was old I've always noticed as Jedi age they get weaker like in real life just about every Jedi or half no matter how legendary gets upstaged by a younger Jedi whether there apprentice or not especially with the sith or Jedi it comes a point where the master is to old and also where a younger Jedi is in his prime plus you forget dooku beat anikan horribly at 1st I would say revan and palpitines master were probably to good and not decrepit old men for their apprentice's to beat them fairly in a duel plaguis was his name his name escaped me at 1st
