    Curious... what would you have done in Tropical Russian's shoes? I can say it would have never occurred to me to yell in a southern accent!

    Yelling at them let them know she was there alone. This could’ve gone so bad so quickly. I would never park in a place without cell service and I would immediately leave an area if people were shooting at night and called it in.

    I think feeling safe is ALWAYS important! So definitely go with your gut on that one. Because she was in a designated camping spot (with a fire pit, etc...) IF those guys had ill intent, they didn't need to shoot their guns to do damage. They're probably from around the area, so they know about the campgrounds that exist. I'm betting most of the time, there aren't any campers there so it's "safe" to use that area for target practice (or whatever they were doing). Once they realized someone was there, they left. But again... just because we see someone doing something successfully, doesn't mean we should all copy them. She used HER gut instinct to keep herself safe, and we should always use our own!

    Why the hell do people hunt at night? Poachers? You can tell that she has been traveling a while, she kept calm which was great. I probably would have packed up and left, lol. Not jumping to conclusions is great advice for life in general!

    I was totally Curious about what they hunt with Guns at night?? - I do not know what game is in that area. So I am ignorant to what is hunted there at night. Louisiana, they hunt bullfrogs at night (so no guns needed).

    I have no idea if they were actually hunters or if they were hunting anything at all... Google says that "raccoons, opossums, foxes, mink, skunk, coyotes, armadillos and hogs" can be hunted at night in South Carolina, but as someone who doesn't hunt, I can't give any real insight to what they were actually shooting at. I do think some people just enjoy shooting in general, so they could have been having fun shooting a target...

    @PriorityFocused hard to hit targets in the dark, unless they were lit up some how. What they deam as Nuisance type creatures is highly likely. Similar to what you've named. Definitely curious.

    @@dawnwilliamson1523 Maybe they're using night goggles? Honestly, no idea why or if they were even trying to hit something. I just approve of what Tropical Russian handled the situation.

    That sound isn’t crinkling, that’s buckshot raining down

    It was nighttime, though you could hear the crickets! People don't hunt at night unless they're poachers and the last time I checked with the men my neck of the woods they don't "night hunt" around campsites where people could catch them and tell!

    I also grew up before the internet and cell phones. I think we are the last generation that doesn't get panicked over no cell service. You rely on your eyes and ears. It IS sad kids don't play outside anymore.

    Hunting against the law once dusk hits and it was to close for comfort. I would have shut the door & locked it, I'd gotten out there!

    If youre out in the woods in the Carolinas, hearing gun shots is not uncommon. Target shooting and hunters out and bout in the south are common place.

    I think I would have honked the horn. We live right next to the woods and we hear gunshots all the time. It’s really bad when hunting season starts. They probably didn’t know she was there. And I thought the crinkling were deer running away because the shots were so close. It sucks but we all have to share this space. Us, animals, nature and the people who like to kill animals.

  • @PriorityFocused

    @PriorityFocused

    I would have never associated the crinkling with deer... but it's not impossible. I associated it with reflectix mostly because I was trying to imagine what she was doing, but in reality the crinkling was loud enough that it could have been outside. And yes, we all have to share the same space - which isn't always fun, to be honest...

    Why does she have a different voice? What happened to the Russian accent when she's in the US?

  • @PriorityFocused

    @PriorityFocused

    Ай бұрын

    So... I think she just enjoys having fun with accents in her videos. Her "natural" accent seems to be more of a bland American. But because her parents are Russian, she can do an exaggerated Russian accent for her "fun" videos, as well as an exaggerated Southern accent.

    I think everyone has to assess safety risks for themselves... and learn how to read their surroundings. But I'll say this: When I meet travelers who always lock their doors, who always carry a weapon, who always live in fear... I wonder why they travel at all... You can certainly start van life being overly cautious... but the longer you travel, the more you learn to read the location, and know when extra precautions are recommended.

    Fair... but nobody forced them to leave. She was uncomfortable and took action, they had several options available to them, as well. But also, we don't know exactly where she was, which means we don't know if they were technically allowed to shoot there, either.🤷🏻‍♀️

    You are allowed to speak up so hunters are aware of your presence so you don't get shot. It's insane to say you can't speak up to protect yourself.

    This video wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be. Going over and over and over someone else's video is a waste of time. Nothing more than clickbait and attaching to someone else's name to get views. I would have expected a focus on just your own experience and not the atypical #vanlife of pretty people. I know I'll catch flack, but apparently this channel isn't one to focus on what I thought was beneficial to me.

    Oh, that’s interesting! A big reason why I watch other van life videos is specifically to learn from them… so I find dialogue about those videos to be helpful also. That being said, not all channels are for everyone so I hope you find the videos you are searching for!
