@Comics Explained this should definitely be a series. Who is Superman really afraid of? Who does Thor have nightmares about? Who makes Thanos cross the street? Who is the one person Darkseid doesn't want to smoke with? Seriously, heroes and villains who seem fearless have anxiety about certain villains or heroes, and why they feel that way would be interesting, especially if it's not who we think it is.

the problem with ridiculously powerful characters like sentry is you can't really put them everywhere like with spiderman, iron man, etc because he could potentially just...win every fight, that's why wwhulk vs sentry was so good, hulk was just SO powerful that the only thing they COULD do was call in the superman stand in, very similar reason to why you only really see franklin richards whenever galactus is around, and even then it's not guaranteed

I really really wish they did more with Perfected Merged Sentry. They easily could have made him using the Gogeta/Vegito formula where 1+1=3(or 4) and make him into something close to Superboy Prime.

The first sentry story is probably the best. But when he confronted molecule man, that was epic

Meh, Sentry suddenly having molecular control so absolute, that even Molecule Man couldn't undo what Sentry had done to him, was weaksauce copout writing. I'm glad other writers don't really depict Sentry having this ability.

Sentry reminds me of a character owned by Marvel named "Miracle Man". The story of Sentry's origin is very similar to Miracle Man with the amnesia and being nearly all-powerful to the point you can almost say it was copied. The character was created by Neil Geiman, then because the comic was initially called Marvelman there was litigation for nearly 20 yrs and Marvel ended up with the property. Rob please cover or even just read this comic, I promise you won't be disappointed. Also, one day you gotta cover the MARVELS tpb drawn by Alex Ross. I feel like it was as good as Kingdom Come if not better. I'd love to know your opinion on both.

Mate! I really love it when you do Sentry videos. He is hands down my fav marvel character. I feel robbed by marvel though. I loved how Bendis re-introduced him in Avengers breakout - but after that it was all meh. I hate how people like Donny Cates claim they love the Sentry, only to have Knull rip him in half. I'd love to see a story where Sentry gets to 'cut loose' and show his terrifying power. For anyone interested in a very funny read - Thunderbolts King in Black is very witty. A rag tag team of villains are trying to hunt down Sentry's body to use it as a bomb. I hate that Sentry is dead and his corpse is being dragged around like roadkill, but credit to the writers. I am hoping and praying we get a solid, scary, action filled and meaningful Sentry story one day.... Thanks for vid! Please keep the Sentry vids coming!

I'd like to see you cover Marvel's Blood Hunt event, it's pretty dark and cool.

you know that scene where the avengers are at the afterparty picking up Mjolnir. I Always thought it would be kind of cool to see a cleaning man coming to clean while they seat around and pick up to clean the spot under the hammer and they look on in bewilderment and they would ask for his name and he would respond with Robert. Which I would like to think that would set off the fans.

Jus learned about him like 4 years ago and his my Top 5 favorite superhero of all time but spawn is Number 1 in my heart 😂

What ever happened to Hickmans G.O.D.S.? Was so stoked for that. Bought the first issue. Kind of fizzled out i guess. Rob didn't even finish it. I read it ended in May...

I was shocked myself. Honestly was expecting it to go longer but yea oddly enough it's wrapped up and done for. It was a great way to introduce new characters, concepts,and ideas but still.

robert renolds is one of the few caracters in marvel that truly posseses unlimited potential meaning he doesn't posses a hard coded limit tied to his being,meaning he has no real upper celing he can hit on *his own* , his mental state does restrict the amount of potential he can potential he can tap into to use at a certain time out of his total potential this could be one of the reasons on why the void can display greater amount of raw potential converted into power due to him(the void) knowing itself very well.

Exactly, it's why he has so many fans, his original run was fantastic. He is his own worst enemy and knows it. He may be beyond anything in Marvel, but can barely leave his house sometimes. He is afraid of his own powers, or was until the writing went to shite. Sigh....

If Hyperion and the Sentry are really going to be the main antagonists in the Thunderbolts, I can see this being a 1A-1B type of thing. I wonder if Robert Reynolds is going to appear as a friend to the Thunderbolts at first and then gradually become more antagonistic towards the team as the film progresses. Hyperion could be the initial threat to the team, then it could be revealed that the Sentry was the real threat the entire time.

If in the future, should the mutants actually have peace and they say that the X-Men are not needed anymore, I would be fine with that if the X-Men don't exist anymore, but the characters are still involved in Super hero stuff like being on the Avengers and other teams.

I think sentry and hulk need to run that fade back 🤔. Hulk didn't reach his world breaker form until after he found out miek betrayed him and by then his fight with hulk was already over. In heart of the monster hulk stated that in his fight in new york he was holding back 🤨... they definitely need a rematch 🫡.

IIRC, there's a story where The Void immobilizes The Hulk and breaks all of his bones with just a thought. If the sentry is just the "good half" and fought toe to toe with hulk when he was so pissed he destroyed the entire east coast with one stomp, you can imagine how absurd a good story with the Void being unleash at full capacity would be.

Always gave me Magus/Adam Warlock vibes with Void/ Sentry.

There are many ways to use a character like the Sentry, they just need to commit. He is the ultimate plot device as he is strong enough to end many conflicts but has to spend most of his time holding back the void which weakens him by how many ever % the story requires. Have a big bad threatening the universe? Have Sentry make the ultimate sacrifice and give into the Void and have the Void go toe to toe with the big bad no one else could beat. Endless possibilities.

Universe destruction is cool but the more grounded feats are better especially in Siege. He destroys ALL of Asgard in the blink of an eye and absolutely dominates Thor, they are in asgard one moment until Sentry just demolishes him into a field a couple miles away INSTANTLY

I don’t know if they will screw him up more so adapt his character in a way that fits into the universe which is the only way they can do it and it be balanced…like all things should be 😂 but seriously they have too or it won’t make any sense story wise. If they made Thanos for example a carbon copy as he was in the comics he would have decimated the avengers with his base power without any of the stones

Sentry as a concept: really interesting. Really cool. Sentry as a character: bad Thing about Sentry and the Void is that they never do anything. Sentry is so powerful, but the thing that makes him so powerful cannot be let out for long, or everyone dies. How do we resolve this? Sentry shows up. Rarely. For 2-4 pages to either quickly end a conflict, easily kill someone who's really powerful, or get beaten or killed to establish how strong someone else is. Notable moments: - rips Ares in half - rips Carnage in half - fights Hulk to a standstill - killed by Thor - Killed by Knull

Why does it seem like we didn't really cover much here other than "Hulk is afraid of Sentry, here's the same info. about him we've covered before." Was hoping for something new :/

I appreciate that you explain these stories out so I can't deny you the thumbs-up. But the story itself of the Hulk being scared of anyone or anything is not a path I ever want to explore. And since there's many variations of the Hulk, I have to believe that not all of them are scared of The Void. There has to be at least ONE that isn't. It was bad enough to watch him get defeated so effortlessly by Thanos (I know that they were trying to show just how tough Thanos was) and I still haven't recovered from that yet. Now I have to deal with my favorite guy being scared of a single person is really destroying my image of him. The strongest one there is. The last things to survive would be The Hulk and roaches. Writers are slowly picking away at everything that makes the Hulk, Hulk. I'm not enjoying this path at all.

The Sentry ripping carnage in half... Is that why The King in Black ripped the Sentry in half? Because that was just nuts!

Sentry didn’t die down after WWH, he was INCREDIBLE through dark avengers to siege. Every time he appeared on the page you just had no idea what calamity he would unleash.

My fav scene is Sentry and Moon Knight face to face during Civil War, I believe? Now that would have been a fight.
