My hair is in love with Henna, Amla & Fenugreek. I appreciate your honesty and have stopped buying so many products. My hair is 4c and past my bra length after using a few good products and incorporating these herbs (especially fenugreek spray). I had to realize these content creators are sponsored which doesn’t mean it always work well. Your videos have been so helpful 😍

I had to unsubscribe some KZreadrs because I was getting confused constantly thinking the next herbal remedies was better than the last one I used because they always bring something different and I just had to unsubscribe after complaining and their response showed that they didn't truly care. I just listened to my hair and reduce what I've been using and doing and am seeing great results

I've been using amla-infused olive oil. I just add amla powder to a olive oil, and let it infuse for at least a week. I shake up the oil every day, or every other day because sometimes I forget. I want to infuse some coconut oil, because my high porosity hair like coconut oil as a pre-poo.

They both have different benefits. Why not use both oils in your infusion? Get the best of both worlds. 🤷🏾‍♀️

@@motophone8794 add a few drops of essential oil like rosemary lavender, my fav bergamot (purely for its smell) or you can add rose petals with the Amla and allow to diffuse.

I have been using henna dor about 40 years. I dont overdo it though. Maybe every 6-8 weeks , sometimes even 12 weeks. Did a henna mask today. I dont really need the colour but my hair looks thicker with a richer, warmer colour and I am allergic to ppd and toluene and possibly most similar ingredients in box dye. So the henma does it for me. I have all of about 10 grey hairs at 55😂. So I use for tone and my hair strand seems thicker and less limp.

If you ever want to go darker, indigo. I used to do my hair with a pre mix blend of both henna and indigo. It was very close to my natural. Which is rare to find with box dye

Henna is just about impossible to remove from the hair especially in the form using to color the hair. Can also be extremely drying- licensed cosmetologist for years. However, your hair is beautiful.

I mix henna with a little oil, plain yoghurt and at times flaxseed gel which you can make at home. Helps to balance the dryness

I was able to bleach mine out. If its pure henna. You can do it. You'll likely pull very warm though so cool colours are a no go.

Bleach and lighteners are extremely drying as well. Henna is a lifestyle, not just a simple ‘color job’ and people need to do more research as to what they actually want for their hair-as most people who henna have no desire to jump from color to color. If you do, you don’t want henna. That simple. The healthy, damaged hair dialogues need to stay within the realm of cosmetology where they belong. Far more people have benefited from henna than not-that’s why it’s lasted thousands of years. Those who’ve had bad experiences did so from user error (overindulgence and impatience), not because there’s anything inherently wrong with henna. No one told them to overdo it in a short amount of time. No one told them to use faux/contaminated henna to get a desired shade or vibrancy. If anything, all the resources out there advise not to do that.

Amla doesn't darken hair without Henna. I'm not sure about the combination with cassia though. My natural hair, which I'm trying to grow back, is dark blonde, and I have struggled with the contrast between my dark coloured+lightish natural hair despite using amla.
