@@gh05tb0yz I think the point is that it isn't his choice to make contracts it's just literally how he is forced to operate. He can't get access to someone's mind unless they consent, if he could he absolutely would just take over without their consent. He hates his boundaries and is fighting them the whole show. If he made the rules or used word play and things as if he were the dictator then yes, he would be lawful, but instead these are rules put on him by who knows what. So his laws are his nemesis and literal only weakness.

The main reason that Bill made Mabel’s bubble was after the deal they made when Bill was disguised as Blendin. He said that he would make her a bubble where summer would last forever, and he did, just like he promised.

what alex hirsh did with Bill was genius. he was so chaotic and seemingly ridiculous, but he was actually a genius villain with a goal and he did whatever it took to get what he wanted. he manipulated people so well and got them to do his dirty work while still keeping up his end of the deal. he’s just the best antagonist and it’s impossible to dislike him.

I agree with every sentiment in this video. Bill Cipher is the best villain ever and one of the only way-overpowered characters done correctly. I love everything about him especially how meta and weird he gets. I also love how he's beaten by wit and not brute force as you stated. He was easily my favorite antagonist of all time, if not my third favorite character of all time.

There *WAS* that promo by the Totally Legit Oregon National Park Twitter about an odd yellow bird with a solid black patch on its head... like a hat...

What's so great about Bill as and overpowered villain is that he KNOWS he's overpowered, and decides to flaunt and have fun with it - unlike those "OP" villains who are like "Oooooh, just you wait until I UNLEASH MY FULL POWER!!!"...and then never do. They just reuse the same tricks. But Bill constantly does the most sadistic things possible and even puts a comedic spin on what he does. Basically he's one hell of a villain with an excellent sense of dark humour.

I remember this being the very first Nux Taku video I've watched and ever since I became a fan. It's been a heck of a journey, Nux. You've come along so far. And you're only going to produce much more fantastic content moving forward.

What if Alex Hirsch (the guy who wrote the series AND voiced quite a few important characters including Bill) has Bill in his mind? What if he found the Bill statue in the woods, shook it's hand, and was inspired by Bill to write the Gravity Falls series. That way, we would all know about Bill and therefore his presence in our world and minds could grow stronger. Then, after the success of the series, Bill figured "hey, why not get more people on board with my statue? Through fun clues and riddles of course!"

@@LpsAngel031 It requires a bit longer answer: Part I: my connection to the field I´ve not studied the field but started reading publications from experts partially due to the fact that I´ve met some really messed-up people. I´ve also met two psychopaths, though statistically speaking it must be way more, but unlike psychopaths in the media, they are very good at staying low-profile Part II: what is a psychopath? Psychopathy is the extreme form of antisocial personality disorder, whereas sociopathy is a more general term describing a lack of empathy and disregard for social norms. Psychopaths are wired differently in their brain and thus most are born that way. They feel little fear, disgust, empathy, regret. Unlike everyone else, they are immune to burn-out, depression and PTSD. On the flip-side, they lack passion, which makes them often a jack of all trades, masters of none. They can´t fall in love and suck at creating art (not just drawing something like a photo, but making something that triggers emotions in us, since they don´t feel the same as we do, when we listen to music or look at a piece of art). They also focus on short-term gains over long-term risk, which tends to bite them in the ar$e in the long run. However, there are plenty of jobs where they excel at. This includes working under extreme pressure; selling themselves/ideas and staying focussed on one task. Easily Bored Thrill-seeking Being a weird combination of extremely rational and whimsical (e.g. Negan from TWD who forgives someone for trying to kill him, but murders someone innocent to scare others) Disregard for social norms Extremely good at lying Good at manipulating others and judging others in general No regrets Forms only superficial relationships Doesn´t think about long-term consequences Lack of Passion Lack of responsibility It´s been a while since I watched Gravity Falls, but I do remember that she ticked pretty much every box (except for judging characters and being very rational maybe). Sure, it´s a movie trope that the hero remains cool under pressure and goes back to normal immediately etc. but Wendy goes beyond that: She broke several hearts and her reaction to it was pretty telling. Most girls would also have more of a problem with someone too young falling for them. The most obvious thing was how she goofed off at every job or duty she was given. She didn´t even care about losing a job and was even proud of how she abused her position for personal gains. She pretty much thrives when everything goes to hell. She´s also one of these people that (un)willingly cause others to do bad things and usually they´re the ones that have to pay the price at the end, whereas she´ll weasel herself out of the situation. Still, Wendy is a very likeable badass. I bet that you can find more hints if you rewatch it.

Mabel is a literally sociopathic flat character. She never learns her lessons and manipulates people by force or guilt tripping, and doesn't bother to apologize.

I love Bill Cipher. He's a great fella. But never put him and Sheogorath in one Room. Big mistake, as I had to find out the hard way after leaving them in charge of my torture chambers for 15 minutes... >_>

Holy heck that was a great video. I hadn’t really watched too many of these videos other than Ban’s OP done right when it came out, but after getting this video in my recommended (after being subscribed of course) I decided why not watch it and am so happy I did. One of the best videos I’ve ever seen and really opened my eyes to so many hidden details I didn’t know about this complex show that I already knew so much about. Thank you Lord Nuxanor, this was great!

I'll be honest I saw his defeat being both him being outsmarted but also falling to his own hubris. I mean how do you kill something like Bill at that point without going back in time and stopping him before coming through. Once he came through to Gravity Falls, he was unstoppable and he wasn't about to go back through the portal to his dimension willingly. I mean how would you go about killing him other than dragging him into someone's mind and killing him in his original form by erasing their mind. Bill would never have considered they would switch places and erase someone's mind especially if he was going into Ford's mind that Ford himself made impervious to both Bill and the mind eraser. There was no way he could lose... until he did.

When Bill entered Stan's head, his physical form turned to stone. When they erased Stan's mind, they also erased Bill's consciousness, as it was inside Stan's mind at the time. Bill is "dead" when Stan leaves. He could potentially come back later because a lot of hints say so, but he wasn't in Stan's head anymore.

I like the intro, "any time in this video where im not talking about Bill Cipher is too much time." That's a mood.

The "IN OUR FREAKING WORLD" made me jump. and laugh. And yes I am a gravity falls fan. MORE GRAVITY FALLS

Ironically the best OP antagonists are the ones who have limitations based on a series of rules that they can't overstep; even if they are powerful. There's a reason legit OP characters without limits become stale and less entertaining to watch compared to ones that do; especially in the long run of things.

The reason I love X.A.N.A. is because he's a program, he fails and fails but is willing to try something new, most of this is because he just isnt very smart, he doesnt know what is the perfect option/idea to use and his satisfaction, arrogance and blind anger get the best of him. Edit:Oh and he's you know? A program especially one made in like the 90s I think, he didnt & doesnt have a human brain so what he did before being able to possess was very lackluster, he was basic in planning and needed help like with Milly in the first episode.

In one of the pages on an official Journal 3 book there’s a page explaining how after the servers ended the main characters throw the journals in the bottomless pit. One of the Journals end up back in Gravity falls in the very forest Dipper originally found it. The Park Department of Oregon finds it and read it, the people who read it, had nightmares and decided to sell it on there annual Confiscated Items/Bake-Off. In the story of Gravity Falls WE bought it and that’s how you have it. Obviously that’s not how you got a remake of Journal 3 (you probably bought it on Amazon or something) but in the story of Gravity Falls… they made you apart of it somehow. If your wondering what I’m talking about there was a recreation of Journal 3, made by Alex Hirsh himself, and it’s an actual book you can buy in real life. There is no recreation of Journal 1 or 2, but hey you get what you get and don’t be upset. God this comment is long. Stay weird!
