This is obviously a joke. But is there any actual legitimate info on mandatory mods for vanilla Oblivion? And when I say mandatory, I am referring to a multitude of glitches that were never fixed by developers. Therefore, only the bare minimum absolutely required mods to fix technical problems/bugs, optimize performance, in order to play vanilla (without altering the game).

The Unofficial Patch is the big one in that case, but even vanilla Oblivion works pretty decently on PC.

This alone will get it to run perfectly like a dream> UOP + two corresponding mods for the expansion and dlc. EngineBugFix Oblivion Stutter Remover Oblivion Display Tweaks Mercantile Experience Fix Silver Sword Fix Bethini Oblivion (This is a tool not a mod. Highly important for handling all graphic settings for modern sceens and more.) Others needed to improve graphics (requires similar amount of space as the entire game) > Oblivion Upscaled Textures + two corresponding mods for the expansion and dlc (or QTP3) - needed to fix the resolution. Will look much better. OCOv2 + Blockhead + OCOv2 Unofficial Patch - (less needed) but extremely helpful solution to updating the hair/heads for all characters (all bodies in the game are the same based on races/gender). Most helpful to character creation. All three are necessary to properly function. J17's OCO and Hair Conversions is optional mod that replaces (not adds) hair options.

@@0periodproductions No vanilla Oblivion does not. Rimworld is an example of a game that functions correctly (namely developer maintaining it with feedback) with no need for mods to fix. Oblivion absolutely requires mods to fix a thousands of bugs from release. It is playable/beatable like many retail games. But not in any decent condition that would actually be reasonable for an actual properly functional game released to the public. You are correct about UOP. I have listed others that are needed as well. These should be added for anybody who owns this game. And yes especially the one you mentioned.
