Absolutely crazy how people always go out of thier way to tear down a great black man & his legacy - Have any of you ever done any wrong? Jesus said let he who is without sin cast the first stone.... Think on that part for a second
Also regarded as one of, if not, the greatest lacrosse player of all time. He also excelled at whatever sport he participated in. He was essentially Bo Jackson before Bo Jackson, except his career was fully realized

@@ajculum723 yeah he retired early but it was his choice to retire and he said he did it because there wasn't anything left he wanted to accomplish in football. I'd say that still qualifies as "fully realized career".

Word on the street from way way back is that Mr. Brown was probably the Greatest HIDE and SEEK player that EVER EXISTED!!He was the first 2 way player. Before Jim came along you were either a Hider or a Seeker, no one had ever had the endurance or the mental focus to do both well. Also the fact that the sport was extremely racist. Seekers were Always white, while the minorities were forced to run and hide while the Seeker counted to 19. Those old white Seekers had Never encountered someone with the physical prowess and guile of Jim Brown. They say he couldn’t be found and in fact, never was not even once. That is how he became a Seeker, bc the frustration from the HSL(Hide & Seek League). Jim began to taunt his opponent as they searched and searched. They told him to come out of hiding and he said that the only way he would is if he could have a shot at seeking for once. His request was denied for hours until finally the league gave up and bowed down to Jim’s wish. Once he got his shot at Seeking he did not disappoint, took him 7 mins to find 30 hiders!! Those are some CRAZY Hide and Seek numbers that will Never be eclipsed!!

@@robd1789 it's worth mentioning. But at the same time it's worth contextualising. Views on domestic violence at the time were as about as enlightened as their views on smoking. Doctors of the time didn't see it as a big deal, some even though it was healthy to some degree. The Beatles had a song on a hit album which included the lyrics 'I used to be cruel to my woman, I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved'. (Getting Better, from the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band) So yes it should be remembered, but it should also be remembered within the context of the time period. That doesn't make it right, or in anyway lessen the suffering of the victims but it should be viewed with it in mind. The good does not wash away the bad, nor the bad wash away the good. Edit: victim changed to victims. There was a few in this case.

@@somethinglikethat2176 he did from the middle 1960s until the early 2000s. Takes 35 years to figure out it’s wrong ??
Keep in mind in 1957 his rookie year there was only 12 games in a calendar season for the NFL they hadn’t even gone to 14 which didn’t start until 1960. Jim Brown never played an NFL season in a 16 game season since it didn’t start until 1978. Jim Brown was truly one of the greatest.
Rest Peacefully Jim Brown 🙌🙏
RIP Jim Brown. Mean while my team the Buffalo Bills haven’t had a RB with a 1,000 yard season in almost a decade and it ain’t happening anytime soon as long as Dorsey is the OC.
R.I.P Jim Brown man. We all miss you
No one had that magical combination of running the football & beating up women like Brown.
It's funny. I knew Jim Brown from the Running Man as a kid and didn't have a clue he was an NFL legend until I was much older. Same applies to O.J.

Jim brown was also one of the greatest wife beaters of all time. Even into his 60s dude was putting women in the hospital
Something they missed in the video. Brown only played 9 seasons. So he averaged an MVP very nearly every other year.
Jim Brown is the ultimate example of being underrated because of his short tenure. I still think Barry Sanders was the greatest RB of all time but Jim Brown and OJ are 2 of the most underrated RBs ever.
Thanks for this video perna long love Jim brown!!!!!!

Brooooo. I could be wrong but, I could have sworn that Earl Campbell won rookie of the year, MVP, and All-Pro, the year after he won the Heisman. Not his best statistical year either. If so give the man his flowers. He changed the game. No more 205 LB's.

Patrick Mahomes was not a rookie. Just because it was his 1st season as a starter doesn't mean he gets the honors of " rookie". Rookies are players in their 1st season whether they play or don't.

Barry Sanders should have won league MVP i His rookie year, he was 8 yeards away from the rushing title for that year and took himself out in the 4th quarter cause he didn't care about making history.
