Wow, are these developers really taking requests for new features? This could be what I'm looking for. What i'd like is a device that was always plugged into your audio chain, always on, always waiting as you play, waiting for that next inspired moment. If you've heard of the SP-404, then you'll have heard of its 'skip-back mode'. I am looking for something like this but able to loop more than a 40 second beat. 20 minutes minimum would better suit a musician playing to find his muse. That transition from muscle memory, to 'out of body'. when you find yourself playing something inspired this device would allow you to press record and retrospectively capture that already passed moment. The last 5 mins, the last 10, the last 15, the last 20 mins. Each of those buttons could be used to save any of those time frames for later recall and exploration. Ableton Live does something similar with its midi 'Capture' , so why not here, for audio? This looper would then suit musicians everywhere, any and all. Beyond the loop, a template for that next song. that groove you'll never recreate, that progression that came out of nowhere only to disappear as you pressed record. Tag. Capture, don't interrupt the flow.

I searched every where on out to load backing tracks onto the unit. it took hours to work out as no where on the internet, convert backing track to 44100hz - 32 bit - stereo (doesn't work in mono). You know if it has been successful due to the track number on the display will turn from blue to red. I am using it for a backing track player with a simple cc midi player. it works really well, however don't forget to save any changes to volume, one shot etc by pressing the save button twice when prompted.

What I really want is a stereo looper that lets me crossfade between the loop and live. The Elektron Octatrack can do it, but that's over my budget at the moment, plus I want something battery powered and compact. Guess that's what microcontrollers are for.

Cool product. Looping is something I've had good mileage out of and had quite a bit of live experience with. For me I find single footswitch loopers difficult to use. Having to double tap to stop, when singing and playing is just beyond my brain capacity! That said, this has a lot going for it. I'd really like the ability to load a pre saved loop and then live loop over it, as this can do. TC Electronic make something very similar, but again they put that technology in to their mini looper not the x2 with the dual footswitches! Why?!!! They were so close to perfection! The 1st company to give me access to live looping over the top of pre-saved patterns/loops, on a looper with dual footswitches, gets my money!

  • @DerekPaulGuitar

It receives MIDI only for purposes of changing settings on the looper. Page 13-14 of the manual. I don't think you can sync clocks with this looper. That would require the looper to send MIDI back to the drum machine as well.

Does the new NUX Loop Core Stereo Looper work with the NUX NMP-2 Dual Foot Switch? This would greatly improve the versatility and ease of use for this new looper. The original NUX Loop Core does work with the NMP-2 footswitch, but I don't see a CTR IN input for this new stereo looper.

The Nux Loop Core falls short of being the sole looper I require. Firstly, it lacks a reverse playback feature, or at least it wasn't evident. Additionally, it doesn't offer the capability to record distinct parts for later editing, unlike the Singular Sound Aeros looper. The true revolutionary leap in looper pedals will occur when loopers apps such as Loopy Pro or Loopy HD iOS are made compatible with pedals, and perhaps Poly effects Beebo's customisable looper is closer to that than any other. For simplicity though yeah a pedal with drums isn't bad... just it doesn't inspire me that much, and you didn't demonstrate any other time signatures, other than 4/4.
