The only problem - in Yashin's time there was NO TV Coverage for the USSR Championships and Yashin never played in the UEFA Champions Cup. Yashin was the most innovative but nobody ever saw his innovations until the Internet era

@@Cheemses - Rinat Dasayev in 1987 became the best goalkeeper in the world and Rinat Dasayev had much better statistics than Yashin.

Neuer was third in 2014 after Ronaldo and Messi. Also Khan achieved two third places in 2001 and 2002. The only second places I know are two Italian goalkeepers Buffon was second in 2006 after Cannavaro and Zoff was second in 1973 after Cruyff.

Yashin Played only 27 games in the Championships and 2 games in the Cup. Totally conceded 8 goals. For USSR National Team conceded 4 goals in 4 games. For this, he had international recognition???? Really?????
