@@daviddman I moved on several months ago when i first posted my reply. I honestly don't understand replies like yours. You're basically saying don't post a reply that is anything but glowing positive. That too on a video that was basically a 10 minute infomercial disguised as an actual product review. The point is not about the creator of the video making money or not. Nobody is begrudging them their ad sales money. The point is about the quality of the video itself. Most people would be happy to watch a sponsored video if it also gave enough value to them. That's what differentiates a good product review video from an infomerical shill. You can take this as constructive feedback that it was meant to be. Or as criticism. But getting overly sensitive about constructive feedback is silly.

Excellent video and demonstration on this new model. I’ve looking and reading a lot on the Napoleon Grills for the pass few months and found this new model. In my lifetime I have owned few grills, but in the 19 yrs I’ve own a weber grill because of their build quality and durability, reliability and all around cooking performance that many competitors don’t even come close. I’m currently in the process of purchasing a new one since I gave my weber to someone that needed one and was still in excellent condition. But this Napoleon grills keep popping up every time I start looking on the web, and after watching this video, I think i’m going get a Napoleon grill.

I sear my steaks slightly different. I sear them first, get them caramelized and brown on the outside. Then I cook them on the grill side to the internal temps I want. The searing should close up the meat so the juices don't leak out which gives me a juicy steak at medium-well.

This is an awesome grill. I wanted to buy it but the price point was a little higher than I wanted to spend. I ended up with the Phantom Rogue 425 instead. about $700 cheaper. The cast stainless steel grates and small size change from 3 burner to 4 in the Phantom is why the cost bumps up. Either way both good grills, but if you have the money go with the Prestige (its just a great all around grill).

We just picked up a Prestige 500 RSIB today and looked at the Phantom Prestige 500 RSIB. Really liked the matte black and the multi-function shelf but couldn't justify the $500 price difference. The Phantom has the multi-function shelf and cast stainless grates where the Prestige 500 has a regular warming shelf and stainless steel grates, except on the side burner which is cast. Got it assembled this evening and picked up a bunch of steaks at the butcher shop. Can't wait to cookout tomorrow! Love the video showing the variety of things to cook, had never considered pizza but am definitely doing that this week.

Gunna have to go with Webber, for that price point. Single poor cast aluminum body screams longgevity. compared to the friction riveted body of the napoleon, which seems to be 18ga or 22ga SS. The napoleon I would think only lasting 5-6 years( I grill/smoke 3-5 times a week). The Webber looks to be built in a way to be the last grill you buy, considering the solid one-piece cast aluminum body. But this grill does look pretty and has a lot of bells and whistles. Also, those SS Grates look fantastic, although the preheat on them must take a min or two.

Hot & fast cooks are best with lump. Kamado Joe big block is my go to. Low & slow is best with briquettes. As long as you stay away from match-light or any of the other "instant" light briquettes, you're good. Use a chimney. Go with a Weber kettle. They can do it all.
