If when you get up on foil you're overwhelmed by dozens of informations to the point you freeze cause you don't know what to do, then this video is for you. It's impossible to implement all the tips we learn online while trying to stay balanced on a tiny board flying over the water and hopefully moving forward. You need to get rid of all the non essential informations. I did the job for you and here's the answer to the question: "What are the truly important things to keep in mind while pumping?"

Learn to ollie well and high on a skateboard. Good pumping is essentially several back to back skateboard ollies. You have to jump up 👍

Hey thanks for the interesting video! I don’t think the bit about the water density increasing is quite right though, since water has a very low compressibility (it’s often treated as an incompressible fluid in many engineering applications). Still I guess with more of the mast in the water, there will be more drag anyway 😊

maybe the sixth thing is the board+fuse. boards that are heavy reduce the margin for error. long fuses make it hard to erect the mast from the water. also track placement and the rocker matter because they affect the pump efficiency. on my set up i found the naish microchip the best for pumping. its light, short, and thin.

Thank you so much as always for your valuable advice. I agree with your statements and I'm eager to get my hands on a shorter fuse and a smaller flatter board. What thoughts do you have about Ultrashort vs Ultrashort Advanced?

havent gotten to try many of those since its a friend's craft that has axis. but guess it depends on your equipment overall. hope you have access to demos@@gaeldaniele
