@@EDMTips Sorry to bother you after 1 year, sir! I'm learning to produce techno and I would be so happy to receive from you a little guide on kick patterns. Just by listening to techno I noticed that kick can be so different even inside one mix. For example (I figured it out on my own ahah), the tripple kick each 4 bars - this one is pretty clear to me, but there are lots of different patterns that can add dynamic and tension to the mix (as reference, Brutalismus 3000 like to play with kicks a lot). Could you please do me a favour? :) Have a nice day!

Should I go for the MOTU M2 or the presonus 24c I'm confused sir, would love to know your opinion, I'm 16,just started my music career and building my 1st ever home studio
I think four on floor is two on the floor. Reason is sound like 2/4 time. the pitch is important for beat. The deeper the drum the louder it is physical kit.

I thought the video was very informative, but i took issue with the fact that you said these applied to real drumming because they are literally impossible (you would need at least four hands to play them) I thought the rest of the video was great and it helped me learn what the drums in other styles sound like.

Hi will, what’s your opinion on lots of well known producers using multiple different layers of hi hats and claps for one track? Do you think it’s necessary
@EDMTips
3 жыл бұрын
Great question! Sometimes, yes, but often people will add layers for the sake of it. Personally, spending the time finding a sample that works really well frequency-wise will often render a better result. However, sometimes these nuanced layers can definitely bring something to the table - just make sure each layer is there for a specific reason.
