Okafor is easily one of the best characters in this entire franchise and he wasn't from the comics and he exploded after about 20 minutes of screentime

"Percentages and YIELDS, A'S AND FUCKING BEEES!" That was the best line delivered on the show by far.

Shane vs Okafor woulda been E 🐧

One thing I love about this confrontation -- of all the things to love about it -- is the difference in physical skill between Okafor and Rick. Yes, Rick has undergone "the program", but he's not at Okafor's level. Rick's in damn good shape for his age, a proper brawler even with one hand, but ultimately no match head to head against a professional military man who's been training and keeping in shape his whole life. It's a subtle detail, but it really works, you really notice it on repeat viewings. Also: Craig Tate who played Okafor killed it. The fact that he could go toe to toe with Andrew Lincoln in just one episode shows that man needs to be cast as a series lead in his own right. I mean, just think about how he talks about Estelle here. I think even Lincoln in that moment felt shivers.

Yeah man Andrew always turns his acting up a notch when working with great actors. Main reason why some of his scenes with Morgan in the episode 'Clear' is some of the best back and forth in the whole series

To think Okafor flew over Rick's first wife, son, and best friend when he bombed Atlanta and doesn't even know it.

He's a pilot in the USAF and is probably flying either A-10 Warthogs or F-16C Vipers. He was responsible for bombing Atlanta and Los Angeles with the help of US Navy F-18s (you can see two F-18s passing by when the survivors leave LA shore). He may have witnessed the shooting down of commercial planes by the USAF and Navy, as you can see in World Beyond. He may also have engaged in air-to-air combat with other USAF and US Navy pilots who'd been following federal government orders before he switched sides to the Pennsylvania National Guard.

That flashback to atlanta gave me the chills. If they showed shane hugging lori, then I'd have a heart attack. Throwbacks to the old seasons are the shit

Not even 2 days later (episode 6, season 1 ftwd) the military evacuated and launched Operation Cobalt, after claiming success to the local populace. In episode 2, Mathias warned Madison about the reports he read about 13 states reporting a sickness and some places being attacked already. It indicates that the South East/East Coast was hit first, possibly even New York being ground zero since the military had time to bomb the bridges but not evacuate anyone, so it was a fast operation, maybe the first for Cobalt. The pilot that bombed Atlanta must have flown all day just to get to L.A, but even then, it doesn't make sense why we only see Fighter Jets bombing L.A and Apache's attacking Atlanta

When Rick held the gun to his head and said do it, he had his pinky in between the hammer so the gun wouldn’t of gone of and caught Okafor of guard and most likely would of shaned him with his hand blade. All just another attempt to get back to his family.

The guy that was blown up vs the guy that was ACTUALLY blown up.

Suck an interesting character , it’s a shame they took him out so early .

This scene could be a foreshadowing of the choice Rick may be face with in the upcoming episodes. A situation may come up where he may have to choose between saving the world or Michonne.

Okafor’s a badman name. Gonna miss that character. He was sick.

That segment revealing the bombings of Atlanta and Los Angeles: that hits waaaay different. This show feels like espionage or a secret agent thriller. And so far - it’s working!!

My favorite scene in the episode by far. Rick looks so fucking badass here, I think this new black jacket look is my favorite Rick look yet. It's incredibly depressing watching Rick ask Okafor to kill him. Not even when Carl died did he wish for death. That's how low Rick is right now. Okafor is also a really great character. The lore about the bombings was awesome and I love how he wants to improve the CRM. Wish we saw more of him.

I felt bad for Okafor in this scene with Rick. He is suffering just like Rick is but Okafor has no one to go to except the CRM. Rick does have people he wants to go back to so I think this scene was meant to for Rick not to become like Okafor. Okafor has more blood on his hands than Rick does.

Sucks that they killed Okafor so fast.
