Some say this is a bad episode cause Rick took so long to come back but I say they're crazy. This man has been held captive for 8 years away from his family, lost his FREAKING HAND, forgotten Carl's face which kept him going, and was convinced he'd never see them nor Michonne ever again. That is an hell of a lot of trauma for just one person to deal with. Also, for a time of 8 years it's entirely reasonable that Rick got a little brainwashed and Michonne had to break down that facade of Rick in order to build him back up again. One of the best episodes ever and I can't wait for more.

Michonne is his equal and no other woman can compare to her. Shes the queen to his king. She literally gave him his memories back of Carl, which really broke that wall.🥹

Every time I rewatch that scene of Rick finally telling Michonne the truth I cry lmao I demand Emmy’s for them both after this episode!!

Idk why I didn't cry, probably just marveled at Andrew's amazing acting chops, but rewatching the scene again with these reactors, I cannot help but cry every time.

It’s not often I cry in first viewing and I tend to be able to hold back but the more Rick opened up, it just completely made me lose it And I’ve loved Rick since day one like many of us, he’s my fave of the whole show, I just felt so heartbroken for him but so happy to see him back to how he used to be at the end when he’s killing walkers with Michonne and not wearing the uniform, gave me Season 7 TWD vibes seeing them work together and him with the backpack

Best acting and dialogue I’ve seen from them in all of the walking dead. Just my opinion. For them to hold an episode with just the two of them with in one room is amazing. They both deserve their Emmy for this one 👍

hear hear ! what an amazing episode of television

When Rick said he figured out to die and live without having dreams of Michonne and Carl, he was alive and walking, but he was still dead inside. He became the walking dead.

Seeing Rick break when talking about not being able to see Carl in his dreams broke me.

danai is a tony-nominated playwright, it doesn’t surprise me at all that she wrote some absolutely beautiful dialogue for these two characters. bottle-ish episodes like this can be so tricky if you don’t get that part right and she was incredible!! also love rick’s journey here still coming back to carl, just beautiful

Yes, Michonne and Nat were in that mall for a year. Remember Michonne watched the seasons change through the skylight. What a magnificent episode this was. My favorite in all TWD. My chest hurt, like I could actually FEEL my heart breaking. Phenomenal acting by Andy, by far his best. Amazing writing by Danai. They’d better win awards for this.

As emotional as this episode was, that conversation about the skinny walkers, the city still standing with no damage/bullet holes and no crops really stood out to me. Is the CRM killing people/animals to starve the walkers?

I'm just happy because Daryl was mentioned, i know it's not a big deal and i get that they don't want to mention many characters that are not in the show but it always felt strange that Rick or Michonne never talk about any of them. It's always "they" " our people " etc never a specific name no matter how important they are.

"Best episode ever" is so subjective. For instance, I hate Morgan, so any Morgan-centric episodes are trash to me, even though they were critically good. As long as Rick Grimes is on my screen, he can read the phone book for 12 hours, as far as I am concerned.

Tbh, I don’t like michone so far. She’s like “we can fight! We can win” as if the CRM is some small time group with 100 people. Their army has THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS. I’m sorry, but Rick was right. And if anything bad happens, I’m blaming her.

@@Jasjtkekwnf-- Imagine a helicopter crashing in a storm. That NEVER happens. Oh, wait, it does. Despite their impeccable training, we just lost 5 Marines in a helicopter crash, due to a terrible storm, in February 2024. Pilots becoming disoriented during storms is unfortunately common.

You do realize this is fiction? If the writers want them to win against the CRM and Jesus himself, I'll give you one guess as to what's going to happen. You also don't realize that there is a group of young people within the CR that's starting to question what the CRM and the government is doing... Oh yes, they have to take some damage, maybe a lot of damage, but they will win. Then again, it's only 6 part series. and we're at 5 coming up. I doubt you will have to hate Michonne much more than the last 10 or so seasons, already..
