3 years ago is 6 years after the bridge on TWD around the time Michonne left to go find Rick. 2 years ago, would be about the time Michonne got chlorine gas bombed , and this would be the year herself and Nat had to spend recovering. Therefore, when Gabriel returns within that 3rd year, he does not know Jadis is dead. That is why she is not there to meet him.

We know ep 2 states 6 years after the bridge with michonne, who then has a year in the mall, so it’s now 7 years since bridge. So I think when it says 3 years ago for the first Jadis & Gabriel meeting, that’s from now, making that 4 years afte bridge. Their 2nd meeting is 5 years after, their 3rd and final is 6 years after and now in the present, it’s 7 years after and so Gabriel misses her as we know she’s dead. He hears the helicopter flying over him at the start, which I’m thinking is meant to maybe suggest it’s the one we see at the end, which I’m guessing is taking Rick & michonne back to the base.

3 years ago is definitely 6 years after bridge, 2 years is when they defeated whisperers because he tells here they are starving after some kind of enemy attacked them, and 1 year ago is when they defeated Pamela I guess because there was 1 year time skip after all the commonwealth shit

@@vickster5001 OK, E2 starting point is 6 years after the bridge, however, what you have to take in is how long it takes to go from A to B in this new World. When Michonne Left in S10 E13 "What We Become" it is 6 years after the bridge. At that point on TWD Judith is 12 years old and RJ is 5 years old. When TWD concludes Judith is 15 years old and RJ 8 years old. Therefore, when we see Michonne it is still 6 years after the bridge, we also see Bailey and Aiden whom we also saw on that TWD episode. Michonne was originally heading North to Bridgers Terminal, however, she had to change direction to help Aiden and Bailey catch up with El (Aiden's sister) It would have taken time for them to catch up. Michonne had to spend a night because Nat has to make her a suit. The next day Michonne is heading North, but there is a 5 mile wide Wailing horde in front of her. This is where Nat comes into play and clears a path for her. Nat is joined by Bailey, Alden and a small group. Still heading North, they now approach the outskirts of Philly and the hidden city. That is why they are chlorine gas bombed by the CRM. By this time they had been travelling a long time. Everyone dies except for Michonne and Nat, who now have to spend a whole year recovering in a Mall from the chlorine gas. Once they have recovered Michonne and Nat continue North on foot. When they reach Bridgers Point they find it in ruins and a pile of burnt dead bodies everywhere. That is when Michonne decides to go home to Alexandria and her kids. It is during her journey back, that we see the helicopter. Okafor is killed, Nat ends up dying and Rick takes Michonne aka Dana back to the CRM. Thereby, NOW at the end of E1 and start of E2 is in present day which is within that 3 year period. E3, 4 and 5 are in days. That is why in E4 Michonne lets Rick know that RJ is almost 8 years old. He is days away from catching up with his age on TWD. Therefore, come the finale TOWL would have caught up with TWD. Rick would be gone 9 years, RJ will be 8 years old and Michonne gone 3 years on both timelines .

Gabriel was the perfect person to be the returning character because of Jadis!! So perfect for her last episode ❤ i would way the calcified walkers are totally variants! Just naturally occuring ones! Not *man-made* to kill and destroy. When Rick said "why don't you just listen" OML 😂 I loved when they added the part that Jadis painted those portraits of Glen and them! Such a great touch 😭❤

the other possibility is that we see rick and michonne on the other spin offs like once Daryl and Carol get back to America maybe they reunite

You know they introduced Gabriel so the show can end with him marrying them. Come back here next week when im right lol

Not variants. The walkers at the hot springs had skin that got calcified from long term exposure to the highly mineralized water. And how Jadis took Gabriel’s surname Stokes. He must’ve had an effect on her. She did make it a point to meet him at that spot (had to be not that far from either of them were located) once a year for 3 years. This episode was needed to follow the high emotional tone of Episode 4. 6 episodes are planned for Rick and Michonne’s Love Story. If there’s a season 2, it most likely will be about other Ones Who Live.

This episode is a true classic, telling a new story whilst enhancing the original series. 10/10

I've loved every episode, including this one. It's satisfying because Jadis is finally gone! Rick and Michonne got intel, there was a twist with Gabriel and it sets up a show down next week.

One of the things that I love most about this series is that its clearing up the timeline. So Michonne has been gone for two years, thats wild! So it gives them time to catch up to Negan and Maggie's time line.

I'm was hoping for a Jadis/Anne flip story like Eugene and Negan. I wanted to see her join Richonne in fighting the CRM. 😢She did give them the ring and Ruck proposed. Loved this episode. Loved them all. Dread seeing end of it.

Would've been a great ending if Gabriel popped out from behind a tree and said "I now pronounce you man and wife." Lmfao. Edit: Also, I'm starting to get a little worried that they're saving all the reunions for Daryl Dixon, instead. Carol going out to try and find Daryl is probably because Rick showed up, we haven't seen Morgan, and unless they run through the CRM in 30 minutes, I don't see how taking down the CRM wouldn't take the entire episode, leaving little to no room for a decent reunion scene. I hope I'm wrong.

Andy Lincoln is an amazing actor!!! Also he doesn’t age! At all! Danai is wonderful as well! Great writer and actor!

They keep advertising the finale as the very last episode of the show, but are we not going to get a reunion? If anything, which would kind of suck, they could bring Rick and Michonne onto one of the other spin offs for the reunion but that would be such a downer if we don't get to see it on this show.

Actually liked jadis tbh almost shed a tear for her 😂going to miss jadis as a villain she was one of the best imo

If you pay attention to Gabriel's facial hair you can pin point which time period this took place.

Man it was great to see our boy Gabriel back. Was really hoping he was gonna run into Rick & Michonne though

Between Rick and Michonne, Rick has always been the impulsive one not MIchonne.

I was always expecting a more violent crazy rick like a s5 rick m due to him being captive and away from home for so long m but I guess it wouldn’t make as much sense

In present day we are 7 years plus a bit after the bridge (ep 2 states with michonne 6 years after, then add a year of her in the mall, taking it over 7). So 3 years ago is from 7, so that first meeting of jadis and Gabriel is 4 years post bridge, 2nd is 5 years after, 3rd and final 6 years after and Gabriel is waiting and she doesn’t turn up 7 years after, I.e. in present day. Such a great ep. Whether this all wraps up I’m not sure. Maybe there’s season 2, maybe not and this rolls in with season 2 or 3 of Daryl Dixon, but I like they’ve not said. It gives this show tension.

TOWL is minimum 8 years after the bridge, he was in consignment for 6 years and spent 1yr training in the military and another year rebuilding that base.

They messed up the timeline a little bit by about a year or so. We were told that the time jump in 9x5 was 6 years, but then they tell us that Michonne meets Nat 6 years after the bridge. Doesn't make sense.

@@MFBloosh I think its more that it would be a bit strange if they put "6 years and 6 months after the bridge" it gets a little silly, we just have to assume its within the first half of the year and not close enough to be rounded up to 7 years

I just don’t get when dead city took place and when daryls show took place in the timeline , were they at the same time or same time as this I dunno , as Gabriel met her 3 years ago and didn’t he say they ended war with commonwealth

I can’t believe Father Gabriel cheated on Rosita

Listen, Here are my concerns about The ones who live: I don’t like that two people (Rick and michonne) can completely destroy a massive army and people. They are too “op” and take away any real consequences of their actions for fleeing from jadis and the CRM. Where are the stakes? Where are the consequences? Tv shows and movies alike diminish a villains role and or power making them weak. That’s what Negan was soo hated. He killed glen and Abraham among others. That was true consequences for Rick and the group killing his people. Negan was a true villain and made it hard for us to like him when he started to turn good. That is the kind of villain I hope General Beal is. But to see michonne just take everyone down and not be affected or weakens or face true difficulties just seems like it’s too much. I did enjoy this episode tho. Jadis was a real one. Fly high🕊️🕊️🕊️

They're not going to go in there like Rambo, my guy. They're going to do the same thing that our group did with the Commonwealth. It's to big of a community to just take over, so you turn the people living there against the people in charge. That's literally what Rick and Michonne said they were going to do lol. No one said they're going in guns blazing.
