Is it just me or does anyone else find Charlotte at the least annoying? Poor husband loves her and saved her good name. He at least deserves her respect. I have just started this perhaps she will improve.

Samuel knew she didn't love him when they married. Charlotte still loves William, even though he's dead.

Not at all worthy of James, Anne or Letty.

Samuel is so focused on himself, that even if Charlotte decides to jump off the roof, it won't bother him. Such a narcissist!

In 1980 Laura Hartong was waitressing and complaining about her career going nowhere after playing Charlotte Onedin.
