This is what happens when you ACTUALLY love what you do and would do it for free.

That is true but let’s also keep in mind you also still shouldn’t be EXPECTED to work for free or for “exposure” if you’re good at what you do.
just a friendly reminder that.... I love you guys.

Best filmmaker in the game, man. Praying for a speedy recovery!!!
You’re dope af and humble ❤ I’m a photographer for over 15 years now. I’ve always loved filmmaking but always felt intimidated by the craft…. I’m excited to start this journey and watching you is helping me tremendously 🌿
You truly are my favorite storyteller. Consistently good, continually improving. A real student of the game
Crazy inspiring. Love to hear how much learning to finding a story in a single frame informs your filmmaking.
I am from Romania, and i watch some very talented people online, who suppose to inspire me when i feel down, and make me not doubt myself, you have stories in your images, somehow time stops, that's why i admire you, I'm glad you exist

If the goal is to have a familiar face for people like you, from where you're from, doing this... You should be especially proud that you've reached people who look nothing like you and are from places nothing like where you are from. You've really accomplished a lot. I keep coming back because the color grading and style. I hope you never leave this platform. You and GxAce are my favorites on KZread for film making because it's obvious that you two are really grinding and making it happen. Never stop.
Man, I been watching you for a while now and I'm not done with this video. But there is something about this video that resonates so deeply. You give me confidence as an artist, make me feel comfortable with the vision I have. Thank you for helping me out throughout the last year or so. much love to you Vuhlandes!!
this is what i love to see, every other youtuber, when talking about making things cinematic, talk too nitty gritty about luts, camera settings and buying equipment. I feel like photography, since its an art to compose an image, defs helps making film have a vibe to it. same with your recent lighting video, i hated how people said "you cannot have noise" cuz i have a mid camera, but i can make things look cool
I just found your channel a day or so ago and I love it. I will be binge watching all of your videos.….. I’m extremely encouraged to go out and develop those practical skills in both photography and filmography. ❤❤❤
Great video and concepts. Love that you can express your "why" and also have FIRE shots to back it up, often I'll see the advice followed by someone posting some mid ass pictures lol. Im just a hobbyist and have been doing my best to avoid advice, and these hard and fast rules the professionals follow as I find some of it restrictive and arbitrary, but Im legit writing down everything you're saying because it resonates with how I want to capture pictures and why I love this as a hobby. Thank you brother!
Your clear love for your art just blows me away. Very inspiring.
This was exactly what I needed today. Thank you for translating your passion and vision so well.
It’s always refreshing and very inspiring when you feel the love someone put in with Their work ! Vuh will always be MY GOAT 🤷🏽♂️
that's the mindset to have PERIOD. Not just in filmmaking but in life. There is so much in this life we can learn from every single day. The moment we stop learning is the moment we start dying. Great mindset and i am also going to be taking this mindset and applying it to my life.
I love your love of photography, and how much time is under your belt with film. When I used to shoot a lot, I also experienced seeing people and my world through the lens differently than from my natural eye. Great video. I love the girl you shot, too. She is so cool to be so natural in front of the camera. She's naturally engaging.
Your tones are so freaking sick, man. Love it.
Definitely always something to keep learning. If you’re not learning you’re not growing. Nice point man🙏🏾
I’m so glad I found this channel ! Just got into videography for my marathon training . Love your content sir . Needed this inspiration 🫶🏾
Youre a legend, firstly for making insanely high quality art but even more so for sharing your knowledge. Thanks mate
Photography is important! I love it but I see the differents between vertical and horizontal shots. Horizontal shots are looking so much better and cinematic. Thank you for your inspiration
I totally agree! I started filmmaking first and I wanted to get more serious into photographer so it can help me see filmmaking differently.
Great channel. I always get practical, real world examples of how to improve my work as well. I can also see your passion through your channel and work. Keep doing your thing
So much insparation coming from you. Thank mate
Super dope piece bruh! Keep doing ya thang! Huge fan!!!
You were exactly what I was looking for. We have a similar background, except I let life beat me down and I didn't pick back up my camera again until last year after 3 years of being away from it and I damn near cried after my first photoshoot because I missed it 🥹 I thought I had lost that part of me. Now I'm looking to get into film to bring some short stories to life and really wanted to find creators that looked like us to get advice and guidance from our perspective, so thank you
Your grading is just stunning! Loved hearing about your passion and story, looking forward to seeing your photos 👏
man watching your videos get my creative juices FLOWING. much love for the wisdom and inspiration you provide to the game
Thanks for putting this out there. I'm new to all this and this helps put a picture to a puzzle.
Loved watching your progression and rise to where you are now, keep killing it!!!

Great vid man, I also enjoy that song from epidemic for our chill b-roll table top shots.
You gave me alot to think about. Thank you.
Love ur videos vuh thanks for the inspiration
You are so talented! and your work makes me extremely happy :)
I hit my 11yr mark this year May. Doing things revolving around cameras. Definitely was a milestone. And still learning more
Loved this, and I liked what you said about wanting to the subject in the frame to tell the story vs the camera being a character telling the story (when discussing your preference of static shots). One suggestion I would make - if you’re open to it - is to adjust your framing of you talking to the camera so the ceiling fan isn’t on the top frame edge. It’s a little distraction because it’s not fully in nor fully out. I would say frame it out so we can focus solely on you. Oh yea, and I followed you on Letterboxd!
I really like your style of photography and video. You have a lot of experience and we can tell by your art. Really inspiring
OBSESSED WITH YOU AND YOUR ART
Loved it, always an inspiration
Love the photography project idea!
Love this. The great DP Roger Deakins started in photography and he really credits that for how he sees light and framing.
Love your style bro🤟
def one of the best video/photo channels. every shot looks so good! also very inspiring
I feel like the Pentax is like a side character of a TV show that had a tearful departure from the show during the last season finale and is coming back because it's a fan favorite
Yes! I am such a huge fan of the static shot.
You touched on so many fantastic points here...I just want to say a few things that I think you really nailed. 1) As someone who has been working in the motion picture industry for the better part of 20 years as a dolly grip and telescopic crane technician, I can definitely say that experience has made me a better photographer; it works both ways. You are an incredible photographer and I can already tell from the films you have made, you have the eye and you are well on your way to being an amazing cinematographer! 2) I can't tell you how many directors I've worked with that implement camera movement fort absolutely no reason, it doesn't always make the shot more interesting and I would argue a static frame can tell a more interesting story when used accordingly. 3) I 100% feel you on having a project to focus your work on and I absolutely can't wait to see your 10 cinematic frames! Love that you are completely transparent when talking about your craft. It's so refreshing to hear other artists vulnerabilities and feelings about their work. It shows that you love what you do! Look forward to what you create down the road! 🙌🤜💥🤛💙

Anytime! Hope it was useful!
loved this man!
So, what I really liked about this video was ... the part you were telling you like (also WHY) to do static shots, and you telling you like to do things with minimal gear set up. That's exactly what I do. And I can totally relate to what you were saying. A camera is a tool, to tell a story. Let the people inside of the frame to do the story telling, instead of "in your face" crazy camera movements. Well, I'm a solo shooter, and most of the time I'm filming myself. So, a tripod is one of my most valuable tools. Just subscribed (before typing this comment). Thanks for making these videos.
Found your channel awhile ago and it made me miss my camera i sold it a few years ago but i miss it thinking of getting back into it.
Your color and sharpness is A1!!!
Awesome!
Brilliant! See you out there.
Man, your photos keep improving more and more. Your cinematography reflects that. You should totally go back and reshoot your movies again and see how redoing it with your improved skills brings the film up too. Or you could make a new movie with a strong narrative script that you love. Your cinematography and lighting alone would make a full 20 minute to feature length film worth watching. Now pair that with some good actors and a strong script, it'd be an almost banger. I know a movie is a big ask (I'm a film student in college so I know how much of a task it is) but you've made one before so you can do it again. But if you do make another one, definitely bring on a team to work with you. The more people helping you direct and DP, the better. I'm sure a lot of people would be more than willing to work with you on such a project for free.
Great minds think alike. You're a true blessing to our community. Love your mindset ❤
As a photographer in the process of becoming a filmmaker, I wholeheartedly agree.
dang that comp at 6:14 i love it!
some great advice and wisdom yet again 🖤
Compositions is on point
Another Good One!
Love your videos man
Really a big fan of your work man...
Always nice to hear you and follow you around.
Sir , you are one of the best to ever do what you're doing . It's unreal how awesome you are . I love your text .What plugins do you use ?
Vuhlandes I love you. I have been trying to search for hours what shutter angle you use for your filmmaking
Thank you so very much!!!
So I'm going backwards with what you did & loving it, love your work mate
damn man. you've got your aesthetic on lock. amazing work dude.
I would love to see a video of how you work with a tripod and setting up the frame etc! Do you try and find the frame handheld first and then place the tripod or how do you do it?
Love your channel brother
Super excited to follow your journey I’m a fan new Sub! Im new to the game so this is what it’s all about appreciate the knowledge
your skill with color and moments are beautiful
Man would love it if you did another color grading video. Including the first shot in this video. Your colors and skin tones always pop and are so rich.
Dope!!
Vuhlandes, I absolutely love your videos. One of the things that stands out to me are the colors, the grading. I know that this is only 10% of what really matters, but I'm passionate about this feature in your videos. I also know it might be hard for you to respond to this comment among so many (I have a channel too =)), but with that hope, I want to ask for a tip. How can I achieve grading like yours? I don't want to copy, just understand and figure out how I can do it. I feel like I'm missing something. It would also be cool if you made a new video about your video grading process. Congratulations! Keep up the good work! Big hug.
Always a good day when Vuhlandes drops
Can't wait for that photography project🔥🔥
Great video
Looking forward to seeing some videos about the new photography project man
Cooking now🍳 and watching this vuhlandes video is a whole different vibe
