The One Sorta About Holiday Stories & New Year’s Resolutions

Ойын-сауық

Parenting is tough, and it takes a village. Truly. Lala and Easton recount a couple of holiday stories about Christmases past in Utah with their dad. Everybody shares their New Year’s Resolutions, and of course there’s some talk about Taylor Swift, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Drake & Camila Cabello, the RHOBH THC dinner party, and cheetahs vs leopards.

They didnt come for Kayne until after the nonedited version came out. Before that Taylor was relentlessly bullied online by Kardashian and Kanye fans. And Kim allowed it knowing that she edited the phone call.

This is why mothers that stay home full time or work n come home n take care of their children are literally the queens of the world. First off next to ur children it's the hardest loss u will ever face cus I lost mine. The pain is unbearable n u nvr stop being a parent, mothers can't just walk away after a split with a partner or husband but men seem too just fine to do it not all but most. The child being sick, changing diapers, the feedings or breastfeedings u know the hardest times when they can't do for themselves yet we do it all! Then we have to survive n live n work harder on top of all of it n it's clear why God made women mentally stronger than men n it's for a reason n giving birth is no joke that pain u can't explain even in laymen's terms it's excruciating. Women I love u all God bless u all mothers especially cus I am one n TY for just being rockstars at doing it ALL n sometimes even alone! I shout u all out!

LaLa, I work from 7am-4pm. I WISH I could have any family member take care of my baby girl while me and my husband are at work. It breaks my heart that I have to wake up my baby at 5:50 every morning just to get her ready and take her to daycare. I rather have a family member watch her and whenever I do get home I can hear all the fun stories but also get those texts about "look what she's doing" or get pictures, calls, FaceTime and you don't get that at daycares and it makes me miss my baby so much because I only see her whenever I pick her up at 4:10ish and her bedtime is at 7:30 so there's not enough time to play because me and my husband are exhausted from work but we find that little energy to play with her before her bedtime.

My mom died right before the holidays and she was my best friend I moved her into my home so she died in my spare bedroom. The hospice nurse came over to verify and after she said “sorry for your loss”, the next thing she told me was to call the funeral home and I had not planned anything at all and I would 100% recommend pre-planning everything for your children. It was absolutely horrible having to decide funerals, wakes, caskets, prayer cards flowers etc. thankfully she had a sister who had it paid for in her will when she passed but it was just awful on top of having to do everything by myself.

I tried to be a stay at home mom and it wasn’t my thing! I did it for the first three years & it was super hard. I was a better mom, wife & human when I went back to work & had the ability to contribute to the family financially. Having a family member to help guide your child in growing up is the best gift you could ever get! ❤️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

You can have a procedure to stretch your esophagus. I have had it. It involves twilight anesthesia, they insert a balloon to stretch it, then remove the balloon. It’s a very quick procedure and it worked for me.

It’s SO disappointing, though, to see these women praising Kathy and how “funny” she is, and not recognizing the VERY obvious signs of extreme narcissistic and emotional & mental abuse that she plainly exhibits towards her daughter (felt SO bad about how she just absolutely hijacked her wedding & essentially told her everything that she wanted was stupid or tacky…it quickly became Kathy’s Wedding 3.0🥺), and she doesn’t even react to the obvious heartbreak & hurt that Paris regularly shows (& the way she goes dead silent) when she’s beaten down by her negative comments. It just shows she’s used to it. This is plain as day to myself & anyone else who has had a parent like this, and it should be obvious that is actually paying attention, and it’s the same behavior she exhibits with Kyle. I really do love Lala. But she also excuses or straight up ignores James’ abusive behavior, and it’s really bothersome. You can love someone and know that they treat YOU & some other people okay, and still acknowledge that they have serious issues that very seriously hurt and DAMAGE others, and call them out on that. I will fight for Lala and everything she’s been through all day, but things like this are really disheartening to see & hear from these folks.

Kathy is plain old scary af. Paris and Kyle are obviously terrified of her. I’m glad Rinna stuck up to her, unfortunately she lost the show over it, but someone had to do it! However, Paris and LaLa are nothing like the same kind of mothers. Paris is not raising her kids, she has a staff for that sadly. LaLa is actually raising her daughter!

Michael Jackson told me in LA back in 1999 you have to have Rino Skin to be in the music industry. Being cautious about the fine legal print when signing with record labels. What happens to your music when you pass away if the record label goes out of business etc. A great example is Adam Yauch after he passed away the other two could only do certain stuff with their music. The music industry is a cut throat business. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

I can co-sign on the esophagus thing. I have it and my great aunt had it. She would have to get it stretched out when she was older like Sutton was talking about her brother does. At the end of her life, she ate baby food. It hurts like hell when food gets caught in your esophagus. Love you guys!!! 🫶🏼

Mama of 3 here (our boys are 7.5 and 3.5, and our daughter is 5.5), and all 3 kiddos sleep and nap in our king-sized bed (and we have our eldest son’s twin bed up against our bed to make it one big bed so we all fit). Long story short, I do get it LaLa!! Breaking them of this has been SO hard for all of us! We’re still working on it lol. We do have our 2 eldest kiddos sleeping in our daughter’s full-sized bed, but they still have to start out in our bed until my hubby moves them while they’re asleep at night. I’m sorry, but the HOURS of crying, being distraught and up and down all night was just not worth it. I know I’ll be reamed for this, but it is what it is. This is what works for our family and is our preference, so don’t let anyone make you feel bad. Your baby is only little once, and we adults do need adult time as well, just find a routine that works best for *you* AND *Ocean* .

I live in New England and am a HUGE Patriots fan!!! Gillette Stadium is the 1st football stadium that told Taylor they could sell a sold out show for her first tour and THEY DID!! Taylor says it herself, Gillette holds a very special place in her heart. Also, I was at the KC Chiefs vs NE Patriots game and they only showed her on the big screen ONCE!! Maybe more on the TV for people watching at home. Taylor looked at Patrick Mahomes wife (🤮) and said “I can’t help it” and she did blow a kiss to the fans. There was a lot of people screaming for Taylor (myself included). They are making a huge deal out of nothing. If you watch Travis & Jason Kelce’s podcast they even discuss the love Taylor received at Gillette. (Sorry, I just don’t want New England Patriot fans getting a bad name). However, the people behind me were in Chiefs merch and they were booing Taylor.

I had so much trouble when my daughter moved from a crib tk a "big girl bed" she would NOT stay in the bed!!! We had to take turns laying with her in the bed until she fell asleep then she would stay all night. If I was in there longer than 1.5 hours my husband would come relieve me. Toward the end of this "training" I'd lay there for about 20-30min and then say "I have to go to the bathroom I'll be right back" and when id leave the room, she would fall asleep. It was absolute hell. I can't remember how long that took. I also hope this isn't unsolicited advice. I hope it helps!!! I know that shit is beyond rough

Lala, you are doing great. When my parents divorced when I was young, I was a latch key kid. I came home from school and was alone until my mom got home. She in a sense then was a single mom since I lived with her and not my dad. So you are doing amazing. You have family with your daughter instead of a stranger or no one for a few hours. I mean when I was her age I had babysitters when they both worked.

Come for me but NOT MY DAUGHTER or my MOM! What works for your family should not be judged, but now I am going to give you parenting advice to take or leave. There is no 2 year old in the entire world that doesn't need a nap and bed by 8pm when possible. You will have a whole different child! Add in good food and very limited sugar BIG DIFFERENCE! Check out Supper Nancy's bed time routine which is almost what you are doing, just some fine tuning. Supper Nanny knows all! Now a little bad news at the strike of midnight on Oceans bday the terrific 2's wont be gone, it's more like mid to late 3's and then it's a whole new set of problems that continue into their 30's😅😂

I don’t ever comment on these but I will start by saying I absolutely love your podcast. A little backstory on the phone call with Kim, Kanye, and Taylor. The phone call was clips strung together to make it look like Taylor agreed to it. When she came out and said she didn’t agree to it is when Kim and Kanye fans started coming for her in the worst ways. That is why she went into hiding she disappeared out of the country and rented a home in a different name because she was truly unsafe. So I think it’s 100% fair for her to still be hurt by it especially since Kim still defends Kanye’s side and has never apologized for the mental hurt that came with it. As well as the potential safety of here when their fans started coming for Taylor.
