I know some people can't stand to be there when they put an pet to sleep because it is so hard, but honestly as hard as it is for us it is the BEST thing you can do for THEM. You are their life and they want you to be the last thing they see and feel near them. Don't let your dogs pass alone and feel scared and loneliness as they cross the rainbow bridge. While that was a sad moment I hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving.

No, you are supposed to be with your animals in the end, if sadly you have to put them down. They are with family, not alone and scared. We were with Chewy in the end. Heart breaking but it was the right thing to do. We hugged him as he fell asleep.

It should absolutely not be weird to be with your dig when they pass. Vets say that when dogs cross, they often look frantically around for their owners bc they want them so badly to be there with them. Ppl are total pieces of crap who aren't with their dogs as they pass.
