The Old World: Alternative Bretonnian Miniatures

Today we’re having a look at some alternate sculpts for Games Workshop’s Bretonnian range with a product review of Medbury Miniatures. We’ll be looking at their bombard miniature, their alternate sculpts for mounted yeomen and some fun Bretonnian style zombies to represent the undead peasants of Mousillon. I’m trying out, for the first time, my new recording area (not quite a studio… yet), so that’s exciting! If you’re interested in the Medbury Miniatures line, they’ve got lots more to look at and I’ve included a link to their website down below. It’s always great to support local miniature designers. Enjoy!

Excited to see this kind of content from you! Would love some kind of close-up cam for the models, especially while watching on the phone.

I think I could zoom the camera in without losing fidelity. Will try that next time.

I liked this format. Fireforge games has some mounted Sergeants which might also work for Bretonians. Medbury miniatures are also made by many 3d printer licensees, maybe they can be scaled up to 32mm to fit with GW minis

Great video. I have been thinking about an exiles list as well! A lot of the Perry Plastics would work really well for the Border Princes / Exiles as well, in my opinion. The frostgrave metal wizards are going to be my go to for some outcast wizards too, i think. I think the War of the Roses "Light Cavalry" might work really well for the Yeoman. Fireforge games might have some stuff too, though j am thinking of making my Bretonians based off 1380-1450ish armor and weapons, and the fireforge stuff seems more 11th and 12th century.

Nice! All great choices! I'm looking into the freeguild line of GW minis for conversion fodder.

So this was just looking at a couple of minis. But full videos that suggest alt sculpts and lines of minis would definitely be worth doing.
