Nothing else in the world sounds the same as a screaming Detroit. Thank you for keeping the old mill and that old screaming Detroit alive!!

Those old two stroke Detroit's were badass
I like it all , circle saw , boat 🛥️ building , motorcycle , gardening and the band saw !!!! 👍😎🪵🛥️🎣🏍️🚌 ,and don’t forget that bus 🚌 !
2" clears the dogs! That's my guess. I grew up with a Lane sawmill in the back yard (in Maine), very similar to yours, as well as two Ford tractors from 1956 and '58. I wish I still had them all today. This video brings back lots of good memories.
Nothing boring about watching y'all either. I like seeing everything y'all do, work or pleasure. Love all your videos!

@@wallacefarmandsawmill more videos on the circular sawmill if possible, please! Thanks again for the videos!
Love that you rebuilt your grandpa's mill. Respect.
Outstanding that you tracked down your grandfather’s circle saw mill and brought it back to life. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🚜.
i love the old saw more than your newer saw
Hard to beat the sound of that cold start u on the circular mill
I would like to see circle sawmill videos. Thank you for all of your content. I enjoy everything you post.
I'm 33 too! Sawing lumber everyday. Grew up around a circle saw with my grandpa too! That is too cool! Love your content and the trike! Lol

Every man needs a Brittney ,special lady .
I enjoy watching that old mill in action. It's a lost art you just don't see anymore.
Old saw mill keep running. Yes, more videos 📹 Thanks 🪵🪵⛓️🪚⚙️😎💪👀👍 A Great show. You and Brit. 😎😇❤️📺🎬
Great to see the circular saw mill working again. Fine looking sweet corn too. That's gonna be a great fishing boat. You probably got room for three Lazy Boy recliners in there, but don't install em, or the driver 'll fall asleep! 8^) Cheers from Canada.
I like seeing that circle mill with the diesel from Detroit!
I like seeing the old mill working. Keep showing us everything. Love it!
There was a circle saw mill on our farm in 1971. It was an International Gas Engine. Had no muffler. Very loud. Had a edger that ran with a flat belt at the same time the cutting was going on. The bark edge boards were edged right off the saw. Lumber and ties were stacked by hand. They loaded the lumber and ties onto a bob truck to be hauled away. They had a team of mules and a wagon to move logs to the logs roads they cut. I'm about to build my band sawmill shed in the same location. Out in the woods plenty of room for sawdust and slabs without having to be moved away from the basic sawmill sight. I enjoy all the videos and content you make. Happy 4th tomorrow!!!!
I have been a carpenter my whole life and live in a 95 year old house that was built with lumber from this property not by use but a family member of the people we bought from says that the lumber was milled on and old circle mill. We bought an LT35 and finally got to the house and are cutting our own lumber to build a new house . I would love to own a circle mill it just amazing to think circle mills made America
Your mill isn’t too far from the hardwood mill I grew up in. Ala Oak Flooring mill in Guin, AL. Daddy started it in 1956. I am the fourth generation in my family to sawmill. We had, after the tornado in ‘74, a 36” Precision rosser head debarker, a 54” circular mill, Corinth 36” carriage, 54” McDonough line bar re-saw, Crosley edger & homemade trimmer. A good day was 25,000 bd ft. I stated working there in ‘68 when I was 12 during summers. I can absolutely relate to your mill there. Used to buy tiesiding from a Mr Evans from Tremont, MS who had a mill like yours. It’s hard work but very gratifying. Keep up the good work! I enjoy the videos and esp the circle mill aspect. CS White Opelika, AL
Guys love the story of the sawmill and love your video once again. And Tyler you are 33 years old would not think that thank you happy 4th
Love that circular saw mill, can't wait till the next video on that mill.
My dad had a Corley in the 1950's. Your 2" piece is a 'backer board' left thicker for clearing the dogs in a fast efficient manner for safety purposes.
Great video and great history about you and the old saw mill. Brittany is one tough woman seeing the way she handles the equipment and the lumber.
More Circle saw, more circle saw...lol
I like the circle sawmill, I am old, we used to saw 2x10 oak for 40 foot trailer floors. It took 2 of us to keep up with the boards coming off the mill. Boat build will be good too.
Tyler I have a grand daughter your age. .The Trike is a great tool for you and Mrs. Brit. The way she muscles those big boards I would suggest She is a Keeper. Thanks as always for bringing us along.
Thanks for revisiting the old mill. I've been around, but never worked on a circular head mill. Always been fascinated by the mechanics of them. Good video 👍
Love to see a boat build sometime!
Good job you’ve got that tric when Brit is half way through cutting a log and Tyler has disappeared to the corn field. Brit can ride over shove Tyler on the basket and bring him back saying one job at a time 😂😂😂
I would love to see more action on the circle sawmill. I watch two other sawmill channels, both circular sawmills. Yours is the only bandsaw mill I watch, mostly because I came a heartbeat away from buying my own LT40, but in the end decided against the sawmill life. So, I watch it for the nostalgia it brings to me.
Love the 2 cycle Detroit Diesel and the circular mill.! Please include this on occasion! There’s no one else on KZread who runs one like this! You may need to saw some cross ties for some currently unforeseen reason. Long li the Corley if that’s the correct
I like to hear your old circle saw mill run. My dad owned one very much like it. He had 5 men working at it. The sawyer had a helper to turn the logs. The edger was run by the engine that turned the big saw. There were two men "tailing" the edger. We burnt the slabs or some times we'd cut them for fire wood and strips from the edger. The power unit was a 4 cylinder TD14 international, I love to hear your old Detroit.
I love old machinery ……
Hi, I also have an old Corley mill in parts and pieces and have had it for many years. Thanks for the memories!
I scrolled through the comments saw one right answer; It's hard on the teeth when you saw the dogs off. I'm 65 grew up on one of them in the 60's and 70.s. Nice looking mill, In the southern states you see a lot of that drag chain to keep the sawdust away our mill had a sawdust blower on it and no you did not play on the sawdust pile when the mill was running. I've seen a lot of different drives for the carriage. and a lot of different says to reset the carriage but that is the first time I have seen a coil spring to pull the bunks back.
Brittany slowly trikes around the farm like Jigsaw, just lurking about. 😂😂😂

I LOVE A MILL, THE OLD SCHOOL ROUND BLADE, JUST HAS A SPECIAL, MY GREAT GRANDDAD HAD A MILL, IN THE 1800 HERE IN EAST KY, THE TREES WERE HUGE, GOOD LUCK
I like your life history. Really cool
Love all of your videos
Really looking forward to the boat build and the bus build.
Them Dawgs that hold the log or cant down don't cut very easily and they'll also destroy the teeth on the blade! It was really nice to see the old mill back in action!
Great video 😊
Love the circle mill
I lived in Amory MS from 1974 t0 1988 , 14 wounderful years. I LEARNED what good people and food are. Thanks so much for showing us a good family and the Joy's of Mississippi life.
Awesome video as always
Love The Old Sawmill ❤
I grew up in northern Arizona when there were “woodpecker” saw mills all over the country side. Sawdust was burned marking the landscape with plumes of smoke and the smell of freshly milled lumber. Your mill reminds me of the old mills. There is a certain poetry to watching it run through logs.
I like the circle saw mill videos.
I used a bench saw similar to this in the 1970’s as an apprentice joiner and cabinet maker. Thanks for the happy memories guy’s, and still got all my fingers.
Corn looked freaking awesome! A+ guys!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
Please show some more old school sawmill. The corn looks delicious ❤
Ya'll do it we will watch it, great job, looks like silver queen.

The old saw mill is cool.
Like it all keep doing Al of it
Just do what you are doing 👍👍👍
gday from Down Under. I love that old circle mill.
The old saw mill sure seems fast.
Great video and good job. The old Detroit is sounding good 👍 The trike is so handy and saves time. The boat is coming along nicely. Take care and have a blessed and safe day and I'll see you on your next video
The boat project is exciting to me. Best wishes.
Very nice, stay cool 😎👍
Great video many many years ago I worked at saw mill the owner had two mills going at once I ran a huge loader style forklift. I would unload the log trucks as they came in , feed the mills and load trucks. It was a busy mill I enjoyed the work but left it to go into work for the power company. I have good memories of my sawmill days
I Like all of the Videos
Yesterday, we were watching an antique sawmill at a hungry Hollow tractor show in Rice Lake Wisconsin that was powered by a steam engine. It was a circle sawmill just like this one is.
Feels weird hearing you talk about the 90's your a year older than my step daughter, get old fast. I'm trying to preserve as much of family legacy as I can,
Keep the oso meal running and the reason you cut a 2-inch board is because you probably didn't want to hit the dogs you saw can run in and hit the dogs
My brother-in-law Built his daughter a rolling top desk out of red Oak lumber he bought from a local sawmill that had a half a load of semi-truck refused from to be for flooring in Quarter sawn red oak. Had blemishes that could be cut out in a 4-foot-long boards. We built it with a edger and planer I already had. Once built he took it to his beginning of HIS wood shop and he applied stain and poli finish. He recently passed away and his daughter (some 30 years) later gave it to her son to have a memory of his grandfather.
Nice video y'all! From Sophia, N.C.
I would love to watch you do the boat
Nice I have an old Belsaw in VT it's a lot of fun thanks

I love the Belsaw!
You should add a sump pump to pump the water out of the pit. A solar power pump may work.
Detroits are notorious leakers but this one needs a bath. Makes it nicer to work on it as in changing filters. Also , oil soaked wiring tends to fail early and you dont want a fire in yer sawmill Good luck to you all.
45.5 thousand subscribers outstanding don’t get to hot
Britney and Jade are two of the best swampers and videographers I know.
The homie know that motor sounds really good , Seems to cut faster than the LT40
The way you asked the question, makes me th8nk there is another reason, but I would say the reason for leaving the last board at 2" would be to the hold downs something to bite into. An inch and a half would be too close to the blade.
Always interested in boat building, glassing, etc.
Brring on the boat!!!!!
We had a Frink power by steam. We found making the mill was much more fun than trying to mill all day. We got one of the earliest woodmizer LT 15s. That took over for the Frink.
My guess as to why you left the last board 2 inches is because the blade will probably hit the bunk if you try cutting anymore
Sweet old girl saws good for her age.
I'll watch sawmill videos project videos or gardening videos anything yall record
I saw a KZread video where the creator was using a poly product of some kind to reduce the water leakage from a pond. I wonder if that or some other product would work in reverse and keep water out. Or at least reduce the seepage enough for a sump pump to manage it.
I enjoy all your videos, i thought you were putting together another sawmill
to run the circular saw cheaply on a big turbo with a small exhaust housing so the setting speed of the turbo is high the speed of the engine not high use an intercooler from an old truck and water injection it is set like this open until the engine stops then screw in on the nozzle which is adjustable, example at 12 o'clock is when the engine gets too much water, screw in the throttle to 10 o'clock use pressure bell electric opens at half the excess pressure which is about 1-2.5 bar at the engine the revolution you saw the logs this reduces fuel costs by at least 45 percent and increases the horsepower by 80 percent with this you can run the engine with smaller nozzles and a much cleaner engine the exhaust pipe must be at least 68mm inside for the right resistance in the exhaust pipe
raise the whole saw 120cm so everything is at least 80cm above the minimum height - that's the level the water has today it should be 15cm below the feet so all the water can be drained out over the forest the field below and you will avoid all these problems
Blade would catch log dogs
If it would be doable a coating of hydraulic cent applied to the existing cement might stop the seepage issue.
Keep up the content, always interesting. No one wants too watch paint dry, mixing it up keeps people like me watching. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 btim sw pa
They make a spin-on fuel filter conversion for those Detroit's
Glad to see the old mill running, what is the status of the Frick you bought?
I’d saw you left the last board 2” to keep from sawing into the log dogs, not a desirable situation!!
You didn't want to cut the log dog off.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Like the videos. Have you ever thought of a trash pump to get rid of the water? I bought a 2" not very costly and works good from Harbor Freight just a thought
@wallacefarmandsawmill

Have done it. It fills back up over night. It’s crazy!
You leave the two inches to clear the dogs.
2 inches misses the dogs
Really like the circle mill . I see your problems . Be nice to relocate it and really make a nice new home for it . That might be a difficult task ? But I know nothing about setting one up . Britney probably knows more than me . I like watching her and you run it allot . Was wondering if she could run it by her self ? I bet she could . God Bless ..ed
