The Old Rustic Bridge by the Mill
Музыка
The Old Rustic Bridge by the Mill, sung by Louise Morrissey.
I put it together back in 2006, when we could still smoke in Pubs.
The singer, Louise Morrissey is from Bansha in County Tipperary, I had the pleasure of meeting her in 1983.
She was doing a gig in Kilross, with her brothers, Billy and Norman, The Morrisseys.
She later joined us in the Glin and sang the Old rustic bridge to rounds of rapturess applause.
She is extremely pleasant to talk to and she has a very witty sense of humour.
Add these two qualities to to her excellent singing voice and it equals to a
Delightful Lady.

what a Very pretty voice she has, the music is nice too... ty. Reminds me of alot of the songs my father listened to when I was growing up. After he retired from the USAF he did workworking as a hobby, had a garage "workshop" he built and he spent lots of time listening to his old Blaupunkt radio from Germany with the Boselike sound of today... I remember it well, I miss my daddy too... ty for the memories...

Super, very special voice and song.
my our dads faverate tune he told me that on his death bed..
So beautiful song and video adore so much thank you Louise...topsssss
Thanks be that there's no more smoking in pubs. We used to come home stinking like old ashtrays when we just wanted to enjoy the beer. And we live longer too, like as not.
On listening to this song, I've just heard Louise for the first time and it struck me that she shares the same tone and quality of voice as Annifrid from ABBA. If you shut your eyes you would perhaps think she was. Her voice is like silk....absolutely beautiful and so moving to listen to. I will definitely be listening to more of Louise's songs. Such a golden throat and finely executed and interpreted. A rare talent these days! :)

Louise Morrissey...a well known singer in Ireland from a place called Bansha, County Tipperary...Her voice changed over the years but still a lovely singer....If you want..."Mother Hold The Candle ...While I Shave The Chicken's Neck"....Louise won't let you down...The above ballad was my Father's favourite song after a good few dozen pints of Guinness...☺
Okda
Why not identify the singer, or for that matter, the writer/creator of the song?
Do
Are sure that is Louise doesn't sound like her at all......

I agree...the reason being I'm guessing is that record is over 30/40 years old and her voice has changed over the years......
