We sang this at my nan's burial today as to properly send her off as we truly believed these lyrics were meant for her. She will be missed alot but I will listen to this song everyday and think of her as she was so sweet to all of us. Her last full sentence was "make tea for him." She always wanted people to feel welcome in her home and made sure they were fed and drank a cup of tea. Thank you if you read this :)

On a Saturday night my wife and I would have a wee drink put off the TV then put record player on.we sit with coal fire glowing and listen to Foster&Allen have a wee waltz too just magic.

The model on the video is Olivia Tracey...The most beautiful woman in Ireland (in my opinion). That clip must be over thirty years old and Olivia looks more beautiful today than she did then....

Eddie coffee sang a version of this song ..but he certainly didn't write it!! History: "composed in 1877 by Bobby Newcomb of Cincinnati who published it in sheet music as a "Song with Waltz Chorus." (Rosenberg in West 1: 56).

were is the flower-forget me not -----------i grow it here thanks to a frist world war vetron..he died at 99 an another person had no money for his fathers grave an planted them ..time passed when he was able pay for a headstone...thanks the flower

all he had to do in the grave yard was find the flowe of his dad now there is a grave stone
