The speech comes directly from the comic series. Gina (director) wanted it in the film. All Marwan's drawings were also done by the actual artist.

I love how Italians are so proud of Luca and are all, "take care of him for us America" because we absolutely will. He's a cinnamon roll I would protect at all costs. And Marwan Kenzari is one of the strongest actors in the movie. I can't wait to see more of him in the sequel.

Plus, and it's a big plus, he's one of the most talented, if not the most talented Italian actors of this generation, but tremendously underrated. If you have the chance and if you can find them, you should check some of his movies out! (but, please, not dubbed).

The fact that Marwan compared joe’s and Nicky’s relationship to Achilles and Patroclus made me squeal in delight! Such a deep understanding to the relationship of their characters, really beautifully spoken. It’s an amazing movie, I really enjoyed it. Can’t wait for the sequel (and maybe a prequel because that would be fucking amazing)

I just love that the cast is very international and that their heritage is the same or close to the heritage of their characters

They came together and just blended naturally. Nicky and Joe are the love story we want to know about, experience, attach to. Real definition of twins flame/soulmates... Andy is completely insane! She is strong, cold but she wears so many hat (soldier, sister, mother,fighter, protector) Booker is profound his love for Andy.. Nile was quick to attach even if she was very rebelious at first. I just love it...

Chiwetel Ejiofor is such an awesome actor, he shines in every role he plays and made a strong impression since I first watched him in Serenity.

Can see them making a sequel or a prequel maybe down the line. A tv show i can see again in the future but more likely would be with younger actors (prequel) maybe showcasing them through the ages. I have a feeling this is gonna be a franchise, heres hoping they accomplish that and with netflix behind it i can see it happening. I believe the old guard is sitting at number 6 in the top 10 most watched netflix original movies of all time. Shame really as it has a really high rotten tomatoes score of 81 percent. Pretty high scoring for a netflix original film.

I was drooling over Marwan before this movie but holy fuck, Joe and Nicky absolutely melted my heart😱♥️ One of the bst couples i've seen in a movie. Charlize is one queen of the action movies, undeniably.

each character needs their own spin off along with Quynh and another sequel - very much like matrix series.

This movie was a breath of fresh air! Please be a sequel 🙌

I wanted it to be a series. It's effective as an action movie because the fighting is so ingrained in their back stories as warriors, but the possibilities in character stories is so rich. I just really wanna get to know these characters!

Just watched it last night and the only downside of watching it is that ... oh goodness, you would want more. Like I was "that's it?!" I want more! . I hope that they just did a series. I really love charlize and kiki fits the character. Sweet but before the end of the movie you can see her development from a baby immortal to a new kick ass immortal soldier

@@Karin_Allen I was laughing at that too! He looks so regal, but I know he has a hard time with English sometimes, so I’m imagining him sitting there looking like a statue while his mind is turning cartwheels trying to understand everything over a bad Internet signal 😅😂

I just think it's absolutely adorable that the actors of Joe and Nicky felt so comfortable with eachother and became good friends because this just made the whole story more authentic. And also, Luca is just the sweetest guy just like Nicky is in the movie.

Chiwetel is one HANDSOME man. We better get a sequel guys :D

I think Theron, Ejiofor and Layne take this movie from an ok movie to a solid one. Its a very simple and basic premise, but the cast as a whole elevates it. in a seperate interview i was listening to Greg Rucka talk about revising his own script on the fly with Theron during production for six weeks, makes me think the collaborative nature of the process only made things better for this film. It was really worth my time, i enjoyed it enough to watch it again some thing i havent done since Covid started most netflix movies are forgettable. This one had enough substance. It really made me wish i could see it in the theater.

Lupin788 Rucka said as much when Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin interviewed him on the Fatman Beyond podcast this week, it seemed like he really appreciated the fact that he got to be a part of the whole process and he sounded really proud to be able to work and collaborate in making the film. So now I am looking forward to more stuff that he might get to make with this success.

Watched this on a whim knowing nothing about it because I had recently resubscribed to Netflix after a long time away. Ended up absolutely falling in love with Joe and Nicky and have ended up wallowing in their love for almost a week now. Their scenes are so beautiful. I need more of their relationship in the sequel.

You know what notice me charlize comes from south afrika and speaks afrikaans with somewhat with a dutch heavy accent but a dutchie can probaly understand her . Matthias comes from belgium and speaks flamish dutch. And Marwan grew up in the netherlands speaks fluent dutch. 3 people can probaly speaks dutch fluently together

This has become my favourite movie of all time. I have watched many many movies in my life, Hollywood ones and international ones in many languages, but there's nothing like this movie. After ending it, I couldn't get the characters out of my mind, I couldn't stop thinking abojt the depth of the plot. I just loved it so much! All of the actors are AMAZING, all of the scenes are capturing, all of the action scenes are fascinating, all of characters are so carefully planned. I have watched this movie more than five times and all the details it has just captivate me. I'm pleading for a sequel!!

The performances captured the essence of the comic and the writing so well I was amazed!!! Best adaptation fo the year so far!!! Ms Theron for me deserves real praise! I am so grateful that they captured the source material with respect and creativity!!!

This movie was so INCREDIBLE!! Charlie Theron and Chiwetel Ejiofor are two actors that I have loved for such a long time! Charlie and Chiwetel are so versatile. The only other actor I recognized was Matthias Schoenaerts aka Booker, who I've seen in both versions of "The Loft" (The Dutch and English) and "Kurst! Good movies! Matthias, ik hou van je acteerwerk! Het is heel goed en geloofwaardig,(mijn dutch is niet zo goed):) Anyway, the entire cast was sooooooooo good. I hope that there is a follow-up movie. Uitstekend! Infact, I'm watching it again tonight.

Excellent Movie 🎥. The action in this is just ridiculously beautiful and everyone did actually do fight scenes. Looking back at other movies 🎥 you can tell when a stunt double is used be edits are quick and it’s like a blink of the eye. However, this was done with every detail met and each character gave their A Game to set. And yes I do reply and slowly pause/play to see what hand motion or if it’s a stunt double. Please Netflix 🍿 can this movie be made into a series? I mean down the road when we get past all this pandemic. You have some really talented people within this movie and I can’t wait to see the deleted scenes. Amazing 😉 movie and thank you for giving us good quality action.

The Old Guard movie was awesome, the ending gave it so much potential for a sequel, that could go in so many directions, it's a potential franchise on it's own, one of the 3 best movie I saw this year, the other two are "Prey" and "Top Gun, Maveric".
