Oh my gosh, every day is just so exciting, looking just stunning! How I detest people who cut corners and don’t complete flooring under kitchen cabinets or vanities, leave tiles out behind things! There is nothing worse than trying to make a simple change only to discover that there are gaps in the flooring or tiling, as you say, you waste more time trying to save a dollar! I love how meticulous you all are even when you are hot and tired and ready to be done with it! Great job!💕🇨🇦

Oh the doors !!! How could I have even thought that I would not like them. They just look so fabulous. Great work Kristina. James there is no doubt that you have done outstanding work tiling. It is hard to believe what you started with and how the house is now. I have started going back on previous videos from you and Andrew to remind myself just how monumental this renovation has been. I had wondered how the tiles would workout when everything came together. I think that in the last video the lighting was playing tricks because now the colours are both popping out and subtly blending together Tres Bon. Absolutely love the old doors, so right to keep them 😍 A very beautifully pulled together project. Not bad for a quick 'fixer upper' that you suggested at the start 🤣😂🤣😂

🍅com licença...professional gardener's granddaughter here: the tomato pots are too small to keep them hydrated - they need to go on garden beds or big pots - it's almost impossible to keep them alive with too little soil to keep the humidity levels they need🍅 boa sorte!

Omw...those bathroom tiles are gorgeous! Please hover with camera longer to see the play of colour on them! Cute idea that, the button on mirror for light. If the new owners ever want the doors changed!!!! ...make it clear you will buy back, Christina. I could never let them go...but they blend with the look of this, House Beautiful, Portugal! Cute lights and the two alcoves in kitchen wall adjacent to ext fan...do they get some glass shelves? Just suggesting some extra work, James to keep you out of mischief!! Enjoy your last week or two, fitting the skirting boards, which will hopefully be the finish of this project.🥂🍾🍕🍕🍕

I'm a Joiner/Carpenter by trade and I have had people in the past say things to me, why don't you do it this way or that way, I can get it cheaper than that, and Joe soap did his like this etc and it always came from someone who was not a tradesman that had never taken on a full refurb. Well in that case if you knew how to do it in the first place why didn't you do it yourself then or get Joe Soap to do it his way for you. In my humble opinion you were right to tile the way you did, for starters you did it correctly and it is yours to do the way you want, too many keyboard warriors these days. Looks good, no corners cut that I have seen anywhere during the refurb.😀 the only thing you missed, was fitting an flashing LED Shower Head🤣

Hi Anne, thank you very much! I have a habit of calling Cristina many names but Linda is the one I use the most. I started years ago and it just stuck. At the time I didn’t know it meant beautiful in Portuguese, but it’s fitting, which makes it even better. Maybe one day I’ll actually say her real name. 🤔😉

The tiles behind the vanity were absolute necessary, if the new owner choose to have a free standing sink and not a vanity.

The house looks amazing. I could never visualize what you intended with the bathroom but it looks better than I could have imagined. And the biggest surprise so far, the doors. If I were to purchase the house, in my dreams, I would NOT change the doors. BTW how are you getting on with your heel pain?

Here in Italy tiles go under the furniture and on all of the wall aesthetically it’s the only way to go. I’m a Brit but I do not agree with what had been said it would have looked awful without some of the tiles. I even have tiles on all of the walls in the kitchen which means that there are tiles behind all of the kitchen furniture too. It’s not a waste it’s aesthetics‼️

I would have put the ice white bulbs instead of the warm yellow the fixings are fine it’s only the light bulbs as far as I’m concerned as the natural light is white, but then that’s down to personal taste.

The wonderful thing about those bulbs is if you turn the switch on and off twice it changes from warm white to bright white. It just so happens they are set on warm. Fear not! You no longer need to be concerned. As I keep saying, everything for a reason 😉 thanks for watching!

Strangely, all of our red tomatoes disappear after I water, as well! It’s completely unexplainable…
