Charlie nailed it really. The media dislikes jordies because he often reports things that are against the interests of the people who own the media companies. So he’ll point out all the ways the stories aren’t true, and those same people in the media will just shrug and say “who are you gonna believe, us, or the guy we’ve been constantly running negative press about for five years?”

Still makes me laugh that out of all the non Australian youtubers that are out there who comment on political issues, Charlie, an entertainer, seems to be the only one helping an Aussie who's being targeted by a corrupt political party. You're such a genuine bloke Charlie!
Normally, I don't tune into the Podcasts but since our little Aussie institution is guest starring in this week's episode, I had to tune in. Also, we Aussies do treat criminals here as folk heroes. Our nation was built on the backs of convicts so it makes sense. I tell you something else, my old primary school is right next door to a former active prison. I'm old enough to remember news crews showing up sometimes during school hours whenever there was a breakout or prison riot or something. The school yard was bordered on one side of the prison by this massive bluestone wall that was standing there since the 1850s. Too many sports balls were lost over that wall. This was the same prison once that had incarcerated Ned Kelly. The same prison that Mark "Chopper" Read once stayed in and had his ears cut off by a fellow inmate. Hell, one of my former writing teachers was incarcerated there in the 60s. Now, that prison is closed and much of it is repurposed as apartment housing... and I'm possibly looking for an apartment there. How times have changed.

Love FriendlyJordies - tried to go to one of his shows in Rockhampton but he had to cancel due to the vid and now his new shows are not going here and I'm heartbroken. I treasure my ballsack keyring I purchased though 😀
This is why I love you Charlie. You have an amazing ability at seeing what’s right or wrong with the world, and using your platform to shine a light on it. It takes a lot for me to genuinely like a KZreadr as they often seem quite disingenuous, and you only ever see the highlights that they want you to see, so I’m always sceptical of their true character. However, I’ve always felt that you were genuine and honest, and nothing has ever changed that. I’m also an Aussie, so I doubly appreciate when you’re focusing on someone like Jordan and introducing your (likely) mostly American audience to him and the issues he’s facing from our corrupt media. Keep being yourself brother. You’re an absolute fucken legend! Cheers mate.
I don't often listen to the podcast, but every now and then you have a guest I just can't resist. This is one of those times. Good job.

Still hasn't been able to fully quit because constantly being bombarded by pro-gambling propaganda sends him straight back into the spiral.
So glad to see FJ on here, really been expectantly looking forward to some info on this situation.
Hearing Jordies unintentionally describe himself when talking about the whistleblowers was almost funny. Like, he's saying that the whistleblowers are good-humored in the face of what is going on around them and I'm here thinking "You got your house firebombed and are now making jokes about it."

As an Aussie, since we no longer produce anything our dollar has gone into the shitter. Tech is now extremely expensive. I work in mining and earn quite well however the cost of living in Australia has outpaced inflation to the point I doubt even in my career that I would be able to buy a house little alone living comfortably, I feel bad for everyone that earns less.
I'm all here for Friendly Jordan's! Thank you for showcasing this national treasure! ❤

As a European, the whole gangster rap culture definitely got started popularised in America. Obviously gangsters are everywhere, but this scene entered the mainstream in America and spread from there. I don't know why that is even an argument.
@tiredfrog308
Жыл бұрын
Agreed. It felt as though that one bloke was deliberately misinterpreting what the others were saying. They were obviously talking about cultural influence. To pretend that glorification within a scene doesn't exist is deadshit behaviour; so is ignoring American centricism in media. That entire argument, along with others (i.e., labelling people who feel grossed out by the age gap in DiCaprio's relationship jealous women), was so uncomfortable to listen to.
