The whole pizza debacle was so pointless. The pizza dude got paid regardless, so in that time, Michael could have ordered from the other place and reconciled the situation 😂

I love that Ryan- "now" gone corporate, would likely not entertain that "seen as" waste of time convo of how to use the word whomever, being so uptight.. But since he's done the time, and been a grunt there working, he's open to entertaining that little debacle.

1:30 both Pam and Toby are right. Originally in English, more specifically Proto-Germanic which we spoke about 2,000 years ago, we had six grammatical cases: Nominative - subject of the sentence, Vocative - used to address a noun, Accusative - direct object, Dative - indirect object (this is where ‘whom’ comes from, originally ‘*hwammai’), Genitive - shows possession, and Instrumental - shows that a noun is being used as a tool to complete an action. In Old English the Vocative merged into the Nominative, and then later the Instrumental merged into the Dative and the Accusative merged into the Dative. By Middle English most inflection is lost, verb conjugations are much simpler and we only have Nominative and Genitive for general nouns, but are still frozen in most pronouns. Today we have: Masculine and Feminine Nominative who, Neuter Nominative - what, Genitive - whose, Dative - whom, and Instrumental - how/why
