(I mean, other than a regulator and wider flame pattern?) Not doubting you... just not understanding.

Canister topped stove start with a good flame contact with the pot. As the wind picks up, the flame contact will remain for a while. Above a certain level, the fuel requirements will increase exponentially. For the BRS, this happens above 2 mph. With the Soto WM and PRD, this occurs above 5 mph. So these stoves without a windscreen outperform the BRS with a windscreen. While good, the Ocelot windscreen is not perfect. Let’s say that I blocks 80% of the wind. Then bad stoves can be good, but good stoves will be great. So always start with a good stove.
