Sauve, romantic, and splendidly nostalgic as I recollect summers and love in the 70s, 80s, early 90s when once upon a time we were Black: playing basketball, bbqing on the street hood vacant lot, Saturdays' street cleaning, sitting on the porch conversing, laughing, joking, arguing, singing with family, friends, and neighbors, block parties, plAying chess, cards, tops, female doing soulful whimsically dutch, purchasing water lemon and cherry waterices, Philly cheesesteak from the hood, playing in the waterplug, cleaning mom mom' s church Saturday mornings to earn monies as our jobs as lads with silbings, family was close and authenic unlike now, good music, soul food, grandmere' s home cooked healthy and unhealthy soul foods, pies, rolls, soups, stews, grilling on the porch, riding bikes, build our gang play houses, GI Joes, reading Black books and discussing them with my mother, intellectual stimulating discourses with my siblings and relatives, going to church dressed up as a family, eating dinner as a family, good family reunions, the wineos splendidly singing the oldies, jiving , talking, joking, laughing and learning with Old Heads/ Wineos, jogging, lifting weights, good Black gospel, R &B, jazz, classical, Negro Spirituals, going to Willingboro NJ each summer to my grandmother' s Black upscale church member' s beautiful suburban home and swimming church party where we had lots of grub and fun playing whimsical eclectic games. Wow ....I miss these good days and times.

I've listened to the whole album, sorry this one isn't good! Doesn't have that deep O'jays soul I like, the political direction doesn't work for the O'jays. Wish they had stuck with the messages for the ladies.

well for the ballads i wish they could have found some of their old producers if there's any still around in the business gamble and huff have retired or at least guys that know style of writing but as far the political songs that ok back in the day some of their biggest hits were political and mesage songs of love and peace love train for love of money put your hands together survival family reunion not just ballads

They wanted ballads and that's just fine. We have enough political over the top songs out now with unnecessary commentary that's depressing. The world needs love
