I've seen so many folks signing up for classes, only to end up leaving in months or weeks. Punching Bag.

This is a good video. So many women want to learn a bit of martial arts before they travel and then never come back again. So I always wondered if it was beneficial to study for a couple weeks then travel. Punching bag!

He's right. You wont learn all u need to know in one seminar setting. It takes time and commitment like any other attainable skill in life & many Hr's logged to get to a point that I would even consider being (real self defense). Seminars are chocked full of students from all levels of training from first time beginners to well experienced. Seminars are real progressive meaning the teacher conducting seminar gives something for all levels to chew on. If you were to continue traing outside of each seminar you would start to notice that the seminar will open up more and you will follow it better as your traing goes on and then the seminars become much more fun.. especially when u get passed having to wright notes during them and can just do it freely.

Where punching bags are concerned, do you prefer reflex bags or double ended bags?

Punching bag. To summerize years of experience in a weekend it is pretty much to teach the whole curriculum of a system in that time period with no regards to people's level of progression nor actual abilities. In that sense most Martial Art or Self Defense system can be exposed fully from beginning to end within about 2 hours or less. Now can one learn or retain any information from such exposure? Highly doubtful, I really liked your time analogy which seems to be quite true. Skills require time and those who claim something else are just trying to sell us something.

I think I hear grumbling and keyboards furiously clacking away trying to develop a time compressing immersive deep dive VR system specifically to get 20 years of experience in 3 hours.
