I think it's definitely a bit overhyped, seeing as it's basically a somewhat generic android device, but the design is definitely interesting. I think I prefer the black, but they both look great. I'd say it's pretty impressive how much the packaging and brand identity adds to what is essentially a basic phone. The specs are a bit low for the price point, but as I said I think you are basically paying for the "gimmick" of the design and lights.

I've got the black one and so far really like it. People need to keep in mind its still considered a fairly cheap phone nowadays, some dont. my mates all loved it too. Only problem is finding a good case for it. No big names making any yet.

@@WhosWinray higher end phones have a small hole to pop out your SIM card the sim ejector tool is that small clear handle thing with the metal stick to get it out they’re usually very low quality and bend and such but that one looks sturdy as hell

Kinda expected the nothing phone to not handle that well in games, but considering its the company's first phone, its pretty understandable, would be nice if their ringtone light feature pairs up with any other songs on beat, that'll be cool. Can't wait to see what their next phone would look like

I forget certain types of people actually buy a phone to play games, smh. All victims of marketing ploys since if you don't play games you may as well get a phone from 2014 odd. Then no one would buy any of this overpriced rubbish, even though apparently £400 is "cheap". I have a 7 year old phone, it's great; fantastic realistic camera, no auto HDR to create unrealistic photos. I don't get it other than ppl wanting to show off.

@@Lolp821 to each their own and appreciate you for your contribution to reduce landfill, but for folks like me, I'm an astronomy lover and it helps greatly to have a good portable camera able to adjust iso, shutter speed, wb, etc and export as .RAW. You'd be surprised and amazed how far modern cellphone cameras have come. It's a great entry step for hobbyist astronomers

I like the lights with the black phone better, but I love how well the design stands out on the white phone. That would be a tough pick!

@@RedH4x. oh nice, congratulations! Nope I genuinely haven’t experienced any issues or lags despite seeing some users complain online. I should also mention that I am generally a light user and my screen-on time doesn’t exceed 3 hours on my heaviest days.

Personally, out of the endless wave of smartphones which have the same boring looks (seriously sometimes cant say which one is oppo realme or vivo etc etc ) , Nothing Phone 1 is a breath of fresh air.....thumbs up to the Glyph interface. Not a flagship killer for sure but in the budget segment.... this is a phone for consideration .

@@vijaysinghr988 LOL. Yeah. This phone kills it with looks, and polished software (stock android). But fails miserably in spec sheet and hence performance. At 36000 Rs, I'd have liked the latest chip at least.

I'd use it as my daily driver, my mobile tasks are not heavy, so this is perfect for me if they ever plan to make them reliable

Wooow these are absolute beauties!!! Love the lights on the back and the see through bodies. White is my favourite but black is also very pretty! I can’t wait to have one of these for myself!!!

The lighting feature would be nice to calls and notifications I think that was really cool

Excellent unboxing and the examinations of if it could handle extreme gaming of how it would get heated up or stay cool. I love the design of the lights on the back of the phone as it can flash or turn on when you pick it up or if someone is calling you

What an awsome phone! I love the simple sleek design, the lights are cool, and screen and camera are superb!

this video is so underrated, 3m views is not enough, this kind of review/unboxing in the phone is i want, i want from the top which is the box to the bottom which is the software

It look cool and has interesting gimmick with the average good standard camera but the performance are not kinda stable and a lot issues need to improve. It's better for Sci-FI prop than actual use but I open my mind for future improvement.

i like the graphic design and they way they put effort to create an interesting image for their company. the preformance seems good so i guess its not bad i like the exposed back. the back lights are fun but i'll be fine without them i think the charging lights could've been enought. Id say pretty good phone

TLDR: great phone for the price, just remember that saidprice is sub £500 for an average range 2022 phone its definitely lived up to the hype, the only problem with the phone is that people are comparing it to this years flagships which are over double the price. Personally, if it had the upgraded specs with the extra price that comes along i'd be more than happy to get this but as it stands im too reliant on my phone to switch to a new companies first phone which is aimed at a mid-range audience.

The black one looks amazing, maybe I’ll buy it and do an unboxing video on my channel. Thanks ✌️

Wow, this so very nice. I've been working in sales in a telecom company for 10 years now. When I first started this job, is was because of my interest in mobile phones. That interest decreased over the year but now I feel a spark of my original excitement when I first started. This is definitely the future.

@@no_You_ Its probably nothing for gaming and the camera and sound also is really medium to low quality, but if you just need a phone with social media and other functional apps, its perfect. I still have my samsung tablet for good photos and sound, so to me it's just perfect. The battery is charged in no time and again, I can just replace stuff if something breaks or the battery weakens

Had the phone for a while. Do remember it costs only €280 now and is the best budget phone with pure Android experience. The company is new so it has some hiccups but other than that best vfm phone

I think it's a basic android just with special effects but it's dope love the design

Awesome unboxing review Probably the most exciting thing about this company is the future of nothing phones, not just the nothing phone 1, like we have absolutely no idea what the nothing phone 2 would be like, it's really exciting in a way

Nah. There has had many discussions since the release and a bunch of them agrees that this phone is a bit too much especially for a startup brand. For example, at this price you can go with A73 5G from Samsung which is more versatile (SD card slot and IP67 rating) and more reputable brand. For less price, you can get Moto Edge 30 for similar pure android experience. Or even less for Mi11 lite 5G NE. I mean, for this phone, if you not into its "gimmicks" like LED on the back, the build material (which is similar to iPhone) or just the name of Carl Pei (co-founder of OnePlus who started this Nothing company). I think there are too many options to get even apart from my 3 suggested one.

Good luck finding this type of display panel, wireless charging and OIS, with this type of software support and proper stock Android on other devices in this price range. It's a great device on it's own, the design just makes it more unique.

Pixel 6's display is truly terrible, doesn't come close to this device's panel quality for sure and yes i have used both.

this is one of the best looking phone i've ever seen

im honestly glad they made the seal something that would hurt resale value, its a phone, not an oil painting, i wish more brands like sneaker brands and GPU manufacturers did this, screw stockX

so what i got from this video is that the NOTHING Phone Company has a very interesting and it brings alot of ideas to the plate, as in the "connect to tesla" feature. i wouldnt say its a great phone because the camera quality is a bit dilluted but since it has an innovative way to alert you for alarms and the new sounds they bring, as well as features, it would make for a better phone. maybe with a bit more optimising, NOTHING could have an amazing type of phone that could be one par with the One PLus or even Snapdragon. some could say it could be even better than those and maybe reach Apple and Samsung :D. nice vid btw

I agree; the fact that it has built-in Tesla integration as an experimental feature will be super convenient for anyone lucky enough to have bought a Tesla beforehand, although it does follow the smartphone trend set by Apple with the iPhone 7 by forcing you to use wireless headphones.

We have reached the point where unboxing videos are higher quality than the products they show.

I like the look of the clear back and light show

the phone is ok good very attracting ringtone feature but why did they dont give the cover with it BTW u always make our ear Happy with the satisfying sound

This mobile looks very much futuristic

It's a pretty descent and exceptional phone for the price...Though it is not made for intensive gaming, the phone comes with a fast and very well optimized processor and a clean, polished software.🖤
