@@GlobalWave1 true the phones have so much power in their cpu and ram that they dont ever use all that power, im sure that this cpu with this much ram can handle more than 120fps in fortnite no problem but fortnite on android is unoptimised and its locked to only 90fps and other games aswell the most you will see on a game will be 120 locked but this phone pushes more than that, and in normal tasks this phone is overkill

Yea, it's not worth it based on the amount of games on mobile. Some games I know that would fully utilize it are CarX, PUBGs, Warzone Mobile, Fortnite, Minecraft, CODM, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail and I forgot the other. That's all. It'd be stupid to buy this phone just to play candy crush...

The soft touch trigger button.. Still same with previous, i suggested to asus to move it literally to the corner edge for more usable in gaming and easy to reach. Holding the phone isnt much same as holding the gamepad.

Hmmm...The Ray Tracing isn't real 'Ray Tracing' here. It's applied Path tracing with standard normal-vector lighting. I'd say the path tracing mostly helps the depth maps and shadow maps look good here. =P Makes sense though. This GPU doesn't have enough Cores to really run those kinds of numbers. I wonder if it's CUDA Compatible. I love writing CUDA Kernels straight into memory. ^^

Snapdragon's GPU is based on AMD's GPU. Qualcomm bought AMD's license to make the Adreno GPU. It is not going to be compatible with CUDA. Samsung also use AMD GPU on their flagship chipset like Exynos 2200 & Exynos 2400.

Ark mobile is a good test too, If you can make it through a cave. With overheating, hunger, and poison all ticking away While commanding a dinosaur to run round the map with you. My Amazon crashes just looking at the caves

The camera is definitely so-so but you're not getting it for the camera. I just wish they could handle the overheating issue without an external fan honestly for performance issues. Places like Arizona, Texas, and Florida have huge issues in that regard and it seems that we have reached a point where cell phones should be made to regional weather specifications rather than just selling universal types of phones.

Well, that's 1 Hopefully in the future more cellphones with 1 TB of storage will come out & can also be accessed by SD card. I want a cellphone like a laptop

Just when we thought 6 and 7 are already packed with so much power and features, Asus gave us even more with ROG Phone 8. Now this is a real powerhouse indeed! And while we (hardcore) gamers almost never care much, the camera got some really nice improvements too; take those photos and/or videos like a pro! Shame that we still can't play AAA games like the iPhone did with Resident Evil 8/Village, but just being able to play War Thunder is already just as good.

I'm honestly surprised when you played Genshin impact and other games it stayed at 35 and 40 something degrees temperature I was honestly surprised I always wanted an gaming phone like and play genshin impact smooth and no lags

I love the features of the new rog 8 pro but yeah i bought the rog 7 ultimate 4 months ago. One thing I dont like about this new phone is the cooler (w/c has no subwoofer) and the default speaker was downgraded. Rog 7 speaker is top tier.

i like ASUS for pushing the limits of gaming... as someone who played mobile games, i think gaming phones are absolute overkill... 16gb of ram and i7 on your laptop runs 99% of the games on steam and machine like that will cost you less that 800$.. and gaming phones are 1000$+ and all u can do is play cod mobile... i rather buy a gaming laptop or steam deck.. this type of phone is only for the players that play competitive and maybe grind for the leaderboards, most of the sweats that i met in codm, wud play on ipad pros and redmagicks.. like i said i love ASUS goated company that makes truly the best gaming equipment..
