My LG washer is making that noise plus sometimes water leaks from the door, like the door has not locked properly even though the machine is running. It is only two years old. When this happens the drum makes an even louder sound like it has breaks on or something.

Yep. Had the same problem. Replacing these parts fixed it.

That spider didn't look corroded hardly at all. Did you find it needed to be replaced? It's a common problem on other brands. Apparently the detergent reacts with the metal, and the spider breaks. What kind of detergent do you use? I think if I did that, I would replace the seal between the two tub halves. I wouldn't want it to start leaking in 6 months.

The inner drum should be lifetime warranty, so bearing and spider arm should be covered. Not sure about labor.
