I was so apprehensive about the circuit board problem after calling the service center, and they would come in 4 days time in my area!! 😢😢 after few minutes into this video, i tried to turn the drum a few rounds, husband came accidentally push the power button, and it turned on!! How amazing! Tq sir! You have been a tremendous help! 🎉
Thanks for the guide. My model is a WD14023D6 (more like the model on the right that you didn’t disassemble). The resistor in the same position on my model is a 220 Ohm (Red Red Brown Gold) rather than a 4.7k. I measured it with a multimeter and it had 0 ohms resistance. I replaced it and the machine is now working. My model has a brace across the bottom panel so I needed to remove the door assembly as well to gain access to the PCB. Bit more work, but not a bad result for $0.68! Thanks again.
My Samsung washing machine wins spelling. The displacement board gush off and freezes down goes off
I had same problem but it was the bad noise filter. But great video. I see you helped so many people already. I would suggest others that check the noise filter and door switch before touching the mother board.
My door not opening so I can’t spin test 😂.
What if the screen does not light up at all?
Mr washy washy today I had a problem with my washer the same LG as in the video and I must say a very big thank you for your info ! Not even 2 minutes into it my problem was solved not to mention I was fighting with my husband before the solution. Thank you for saving my husband and machine!
Do you have one last tip mister Washy Washy? Replaced the resitor. Fuse is intact. Wiring correctly in place. Still a dead washer 🙈
I have the same washer…. Nothing happens when I spin it 😭😭😭😭😭 please help me
Interesting. Have you been able to determine what is wrong with the resistor? I can count on one hand in my 50 years of electronics that a resistor has actually failed. And normally when they do it is very obvious because of the charred remains. I didn't see anything wrong with the one you clipped out so I am just curious if you were able to diagnose it any further. Was it open? Did it change value? Just curious what the failure actually is. Good video, it will help a lot of people save some money. I have the same problem with a Kenmore and while it is a different control board, it has an elevated and sheathed resistor just like yours. I will pull it out and see what I can find but I am sure hoping this fix applies to my situation as well. Thanks for the video.
I’ve owned a nice Kenmore front loaded washing machine which has been running very well for 13 years. It just lost power last week…
This video saved me $$$ . Spot on; I did the repair noted and my LG is back running again. What a terrific fix. Thank you
Great video! We just purchased a house with an LG washer and two loads in, power failure! We found another video that has a temp fix plus where to order a $200 (US) replacement board. Now I found you and the best fix for less money! Easy fix and no disposing of electronic waste! 👍🏻😉
I did the repair noted and my LG is back running again. What a terrific fix. Thank you
Absolute legend mate. Your videos are brilliant
Thank you so much for the quick fix. I spined the drum and all the lights lit up and I could select my cycle again ❤️
You Mr Washy are a super star. Resistor replaced and working again.
This worked. Control board was mounted in the back of the machine and was square instead of rectangular, but otherwise looked somewhat similar. Spinning the drum counter-clockwise lit up the screen. Bought the 5W 4.7 ohm wire wound cement resistor and soldered it in replacing the resistor in the white sleeve next to the fuse. Machine works like new again. This saved a 14-year-old machine that otherwise worked perfectly, and they no longer even manufacture the replacement control board for it. I souced a used control board which turned out to be DOA, so I returned the dead board i bought and as a last resort before buying a new machine attempted this fix on the original control board, reinstalled it, and it works great. Thanks!
Teníamos este problema por mucho tiempo, y hoy se compuso gracias a ti. Muchas gracias por el consejo estoy seguro que le has ayudado a muchos como a mi
