Awesome video! So glad I came across your channel. My use case is a comfortable earbuds or headset with multipoint - connecting to Android phone and laptop for calls. With ANC and a quality microphone. I watched your video on the 8 best headsets and this one seems to be is the best. Which earbuds would you recommend for my use case? Also, for this Orosound, can you ship to Australia? Keep up the fantastic job! You've got a new subscriber.

Hi Long, thanks for subscribing! Many customers ask about which earbuds are good for exactly what you described, and the answer is there's no great earbuds for business as of yet that we tested. Would love to also see the fan test and the test of the Tilde Pro without the boom mic - for apples-to-apples comparison with your previous Tilde Pro reviews. It’s a good improvement! The update before this allowed a soft-constant-low-rumble/hissing to bleed through with the blender, but this updates cuts even that out.

When I use mine in my car no one thinks I'm in the car. And it's a Toyota Camry so it isn't that loud but it also isn't that quiet either. And a lot of people don't understand that no matter how much electronics and how many mics you have and how much noise cancellation there is, the best thing to start with is a mic close to your mouth

Thanks for watching! There are headsets you can use without the mic like the Tilde Pro in this video, you will just sacrifice microphone quality
Can you advise if the headset ANC (what the wearer is hearing) and mic ANC (what listener on the other side) can both be turned on during a call and a teams call? Asking as many earphones disables headset/mic ANC to let in ambient sounds for sidetone and can't be disabled. So a device may say they have good ANC but may not have implemented to allow both mic and headset ANC together
@HeadsetAdvisor
Жыл бұрын
For ANC in the speakers, this can be turned on or off and be adjusted to your preferred noise cancellation level. The microphone noise cancellation is built in, so whatever the performance is like in your environment is how it will be. Also, yes you can have ANC on while using the headset with the mic active.
Just recently discovered your channel and have been greatly impressed. I am looking to buy a headset with the following requirements. - needs to connect to 2 devices (Mob and laptop) - needs to be wireless - needs to have the best noise canceling mic (people on the other side should be able to hear only the conversation crystal clear). - I have used the jabra evolve 75 and have been very happy with it's result but that's got super old and need a new one. Is there a way for your reviews (especially for the Orosound Tilde Pro) to include a section that shows how noise-cancellation sounds for the headset wearer, not only the listener on the other end of the line? I need to know how noise cancellation sounds for the headphone wearer especially for nearby background human conversations (inconsistent sounds), not just constant rhythmic sounds like office chatter, blenders, jet engine hums, etc. My use case would be working on video calls in a RV with other people in the same room holding their own conversations. Campers outside would also create background noise. None of the noise would be a constant sound. Thank you!

Some observations and clarifications 1) The mic quality seems less bassy/boomy than before. I compared it with the same review from David on this channel on Jan 6 2) is the "Bluetooth adapter" UC or MS-compatible?
@HeadsetAdvisor
Жыл бұрын
There's a sacrifice that manufactures have to make, either they focus on the best mic quality with no noise cancellation, or they balance good mic quality with background noise cancellation. We feel Orosound nailed it on this update based on you can't have the best of both. The Bluetooth adapter is UC and will allow you to work with some (not all) apps like RingCentral to answer/end calls from the headset, mute/unmute and show in the app, put calls on hold. Overall, it will give you a much more stable connection to your computer.

Hello I consider if I should add USB dongle. I understand it will give more stable connection, but what about other functions? For example each necessary functions on MS Teams (mute, volume, catch/end call, etc.)?
@HeadsetAdvisor

The USB Dongle will give you a more reliable connection, longer wireless range and improve audio. At the current time Orosound isn't Teams certified and won't give you the ability to answer/end calls when away from the computer from the headset. You will be able to adjust volume and mute/unmute though.

I've had my Tilde Pro for several months. Overall, I've been very pleased with my choice. Needs improvement / quirks: 1. There is no way to answer or disconnect a phone call from the headset, you have to do it from the phone. 2. When A call comes in, it will mute a second audio source (like youtube for example) but it doesn't pause that second source FYI - I have the latest firmware as of 3/25/2023 Also, when connected via Bluetooth the voice quality is very good but when connected by cable it's a little better IMO. @HeadsetAdvisor

Hey Joshua, we wouldn't say one is better than the other but the Tilde Pro definitely has some unique advantages in comparison to the Evolve2 75. Both are very good quality headsets and you can't go wrong either way.
I have a couple of comments to make here and maybe you can help me understand if i am using my new Tilde Pro C+ correctly. 1) I updated the tilde pro to the latest software. What i have noticed is, if you use the Tilde Pro for a Teams call where you are using the web version of Teams, the noise cancellation does not seem to work as expected. It works fine when using the Teams desktop app. And i would like to mention here that i use it corded not through Bluetooth. Am i doing something wrong here or is this a limitation? Its is really disappointing and i am even thinking of returning it back. 2) I noticed today, that the headset is not turning off whether you try doing it using the button or leave it aside for 15 minutes without using. Whats could be going wrong here? 3)What role does the Sidetone feature play when it comes to noise cancellation? Does keeping it down all the way help cut out more external noise?
@HeadsetAdvisor
Жыл бұрын
1) within Teams, there's a denoising feature that doesn't play nice with headets sometimes, so you either need to turn it on or off within Teams for the best performance. From the main Teams window, select your profile picture at the top right of Teams and then select Settings. Select Devices on the left and then, under Noise suppression, select either on or off and test both to see which works best. 2) It should allow you to turn it on or off, try unplugging the headset from the computer and holding the on/off button for about a half second, it should flash red then go out when off. 3) Sidetone picks up some of your voice as you're tallking allowing you to talk at a normal level when wearing a headset that fully encloses your ears. Every client has a different preference with this setting, so adjust to which you like best.

After getting in touch with Orosound, they confirmed that it is not possible (currently at least) to replace the headband piece. Considering that they offer replacement earpads, I would have hoped they went the extra mile for repairability for sustainability purposes and would offer some sort of repair for the headband. Hi, I'm trying to decide between these two. Why the Jabra?
I want to get this but I'm skeptical. I own 3 other enterprise headsets that you guys have shown video tests (two are Poly/Plantronics, the other is Jabra). In all 3 of those other tests, your "real world test" on the microphones show incredible performance in these videos (blender, dogs barking, etc.). But my real world call testing (both by asking my wife to give feedback and listening on the other end, as well as by on-device recording apps) is always FAR far worse; they always pick up the noise of wherever I am at, regardless of type of noise (aircraft, dogs barking, kids talking in another room). They seem to only be good with cancelling keyboard noise. It makes me skeptical since this is the exact same type of test. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi Christopher, if you're connected to Windows, double check a setting called Intel Smart Technology. Go to Device Manager > Sound and video game controllers > If you have a setting called "Intel Smart Sound", disable this and see if you have a different result. This setting will cause the microphone noise cancellation in just about any headset to not work properly. We also have a new video dropping soon with an in office demonstration of headset microphones (Tilde Pro being one) and people talking vs imitating that noise over a speakerphone

@@HeadsetAdvisor I primarily use these through my mobile phone, either through the phone app or ringcentral. I'm aware of on-device cancellation software. Are you implying that these tests are done not just with the headset noise cancellation, but headset + device cancellation?
@HeadsetAdvisor

@@christopherpeck8500 oh no I’m saying the microphone tests we have done in the past is we play sound on a speakerphone that simulates people talking, rather than having real people talking. Hope I’m explaining that properly lol. Also, these tests are done on the computer vs a mobile phone, so not 100% sure if there’s a difference in the mic noise cancellation between the two.

Hey Frank, if you ordered from us please contact us so we can get this resolved or contact the seller to best assist. This isn’t a normal performance of the headset.
What's the best noise cancelling microphone for a car. Looking at a permanent instalment in car

The headset for a care would be the poly voyager 5200 or Shokz opencomm2. I’m not sure of a permanent installment mic.

Are these Amazon Chime compatible?
@HeadsetAdvisor

Hi Jose, yes these are Amazon Chime compatible. You just won't have the ability to answer/end calls when away from the computer at this current time. We find most customers answer calls at their computer anyway, then like the added freedom of being wire free to walk and talk, or mutlitask while on a call without a cord getting in the way.

With my 1 month old Jabra Evolve2 75s having nothing but problems, I’m going to pick these up and give them a shot. My Evolve2 75s suffer from the well known microphone audio firmware problems and with no firmware updates to the 75s in 9 months and the end of Q3 2022 “Firmware Fix” still nowhere to be seen AND with their CS team having no idea about this supposed firmware fix, I’m not going to wait any longer for them to get their crap together.

Hey Spencer, so sorry to hear the Evolve2 75's have that mic issue. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts when it arrives. As a footnote, make sure to order these directly from our website so it has the included USB Dongle vs ordering on Amazon doesn't currently include the Dongle.
It would be helpful to not talk or take 30 seconds of a pause (of no talking) during the microphone test. In the real world there has to be pauses in between the other person speaking, on the other end of the call or during the meeting and you talking... That would then would be a real world test, in order to fully hear and determine how much noise is being picked up in the background during the silence. Though no headset regardless of the brand or cost will 100% eliminate background noise. The extra step taken during the review/tests with any device will determine the purchase. Thanks 👍

It's a very good point. We've had others also say the same thing so on our newer videos we now do exactly this. Thanks for your feedback and if you have any other suggestions in the future to help us improve we're all ears!

Mic test gives good result. Simply good, but nothing outstanding, almost the same quality, that some models with price from ~$50...70+. I think, they are overpriced ($330 and more)

This would be the next best to consider for a very good value wireless here kzread.info/dash/bejne/i6CfqcWFkb3KpNI.html
Want the original sound. There's tons of noise canceling headphones but almost zero wireless headsets with condenser-mic quality sound. Now there's the typical noise cancelation crunch and wireless mic sounds that the prior version did not have. Make it an option, but don't force the degradation of mic sound quality. #disappointed

Thanks for sharing your feedback. The demand for much improved mic noise cancellation was overwhelming and the most requested update we would hear from customers. With that comes a cost of not having as good of mic quality but still plenty good for calls and meetings. That being said, you bring up a good point. If there was the ability to choose which mode you prefer in the Link app, we think that would be a great user experience. It sounds like you have the Tilde Pro already and you prefer the mic quality before the update. If that’s the case, please email us and we will see if there’s a way Orosound can change your firmware prior to these updates.
