Let me tell you guys a little bit about my car. Often times mistaken for a Toyota Corolla, this B12 1989 Nissan Sentra can take on many names. Known in japan as the Nissan Sunny, in Mexico as the Nissan Tsuru, and known in the USA as the Nissan Sentra. Still got one, and I'm not getting rid of it, I just love it. Carries me everywhere I want and need to go and it always brings me back home..
I remember that car because I had one and 2 B13 sentras and I would absolutely love to own yours.
My first car was a 1987 nissan sentra that looked like that, but it had a 1.4l carbureted engine... Man does that bring back memories!XD

These were really popular back in the day. The later B12s with the GA16 engine were quite an improvement over the earlier ones with the E16 engine that only made 70 HP.

These are so popular in Mexico! You still see thm a lot. All my family had at one at one point
These are a bit of a cult classic in Mexico, they were sold as the Tsuru II. There was also a sports hatchback version sold as the Hikari.

Exactly, I see that they have completely forgotten about the Nissan Sunny B-12 here in Mexico and Latin America, it is a very loved and sought after car. I see that in Japan they have better cars but we value the resistance, loyalty and beauty of its square lines. If you know where I can find pure auto sunny clubs, I would appreciate it. Greetings, a hug from Mexico.

its realy the best light sports family basic olden golden classic car of nissan the 1986 to 1989 the best models of sunny i love it because of its stronge body stronge engine gear excel and all basic in side and out side to use it in affordable way it the best
those are really popular in developing countries, specially south america. you can still see many of those giving a fight in the streets
I TOO HAVE A NISSAN B 12 YEAR 1986 BOUGHT NEW STILL WITH ME. I LOVE IT . FROM SRI LANKA
In Japan , there was alot of cool things about the B12 Sunny, one of the cooler facts is that B12s were some of the first Nismo trim production cars they made , also came with E series Turbo 4 banger engines ... similar to what was seen in the Pulsar and Exa at the time. There was also the RZ-1 which never sold in the US unfortunately. All in all B12s actually have a decent bit of things going for them
My first car was a 88 Sentra. Loved it
I had an 89 sentra 12v carburated, love it
@zmoorer
10 ай бұрын
Actually, if you were in the US, all 1989 Sentras had throttle body fuel injection. 1988 and back had the carburetors.
My parents bought one new in 1987, I remember my mom had a Pinto before it and she loved the Sentra
I bought a 2-Door Nissan Sentra XE (b12) from my friend in the late 90s. I added several aftermarket cosmetics to it. I even lowered it on 15 inch TSW rims. I eventually put a header on it, but had to remove it because the engine kept overheating. Eventually, I had to get rid of it because the second transmission on it went bad. Good memories of that little car.
as a kid my mom drove an 88' we sold it to my piano teacher in 05' so he could learn stick. I miss that car so much I wish i could go back to 05 and convince my dad to save it so it could be my first car. Also these b12 sentras are all over the place in Costa Rica, no matter where you are you will see these things driving around
I wish that cars like this were still available - they're simple, do the job, ok for city and expressway driving. Long road trips - nah. Reliable, and relatively economical. I really don't trust a "new" car over about 5 -8 years old.
what a clean b12, fun car to drive even if it's slow af

I've always liked these. 2 door saloons are quite rare where I live, lots of regular sedans available though. aren't 16x8 a tad big for a B12? from what i've heard they take up to 15x8 to avoid rubbing but that's coming from the hotboi spec height crew. Personally I like how they look on 14x8.
@heybentai
Жыл бұрын
I sometimes rub in the front if I hit a fat bump but regular driving it’s good, I rolled the rear fenders so those have never rubbed.
Anyone else have that weird fuse glitch on these where it just dies as you start moving? It would happen all the time when I first inherited my 1990 sentra, often in the worst of situations. I'd have to crawl under the steering wheel and replace the little yellow ENG CNTL fuse, usually on the fuckin freeway stopped in traffic, or in the middle of an intersection.

Don't know in what part of the US u are, but a few mods can make that car real peppy: 1. Headers (2.5" pipe) 2. Cut ou the Cat Converter. 3. Port polishing the heads. 4. Weber Carburetor 32/36 (for gas mileage) or dual 44 IDF for some nice HP Or 5. Weber + Turbo.
