I bought my Nissan Sunny B12 1989 recently and I have been learning a lot about how its engine works, this gave a better understanding! I really appreciate your work here, amazing!

Babu, fabulous work as always. But, you need to clean the water jacket, too. There's a lot of scale built up in there. That motor might just overheat from poor coolant flow. Still, it looks and sounds great. Good work.

The Block was not Hot-Tanked or cleaned properly- LOOK at the buildup in the water jackets! Yuck!

The only thing that concerns me are the cooling channels. I remember when i was restoring my tractor engine, I used some hard steel wire to scrape most of the scale on the inside off, wasn t perfect but it did the job.

where do you find parts for this engine and what carb do you use?

Yeah, that is pretty easy, if the engine was removed But it is really hard if the engine wasn't...

Bit rough on the cam shaft there bro, you know those lobes are precision machined surfaces? You smash on them like that, only bad comes from that.

Hey, just to be pedantic: Yes, that is an engine from a B11, but it's an E-series. Check it out on Wikipedia if you don't believe me. I owned a stack of these things, and they were also in the N12 Pulsar, and many others. The early ones had bad head problems, due to poor casting, but they were a fine engine if you got a good one. There were even some turbo versions. Love your video.

You shouldn't put oil behind the bearings it messes up the clearances makes the bearings more likely to spin

From memory, the B11 had an overdrive 4th gear, and on the 5 speed, another even taller overdrive. I'd own another one, any day.

Are you supposed to prime the oil pump before you put it in the motor I do

little scary they're running ATF in an engine.......that wont last long. One they also did wrong was lubricate bearings on the non journal side, great way to spin a bearing.
