Here's a friendly reminder: The entire show was Stop Motion, and yet the animation looks so goddamn good!

Its truly a challenge to design a villain for a movie where the protagonist is a long limbed skeleton. I think they nailed it.

Can't believe this movie is almost 30 years old... it holds up so well

When I worked as a photographer for Disney years ago, we had a mat for people to stand on when they got their pictures taken. But people would be anxious about standing on it for reasons. I always would say “Don’t worry. It’s not a trapdoor. You’re not going to fall into Oogie Boogie’s lair. I made sure of that.” Usually got a laugh. One time, I had a guest say “I like Oogie Boogie!” And I said “I do too…but his lair is creepy and I don’t know about you but I don’t want to end up as an ingredient in his snake and spider stew. I was so happy when Jack got me out of there. Oogie is a fantastic singer though.”

I still can’t believe that this masterpiece is stop-motion and possibly some animation, it’s really amazing

This song is all performance. He's 100% of the reason it's great.

This is my favorite movie hands down. When I first watched this as a little kid, it blew my mind, and this scene was just everything.

This was always my favorite song from the movie as a kid and continues to be.

Most underrated disstrack

The way his eyes and mouth are glowing and then just turn pitch black just makes his intro even better

Amazing how Oogie becomes infinitely scarier the moment the black lights go off.

This is one of the only songs I know off my heart and never mess up. Oogie boogie is the best really.

A classic masterpiece! The acting, camera work, and art is top notch.
