it really is like that, DVNp the most amazing place on earth, in 1971, 3 weeks after my 5th grade year, a teacher took 4 boys, 2 dads went in a ford pickup, we camped on the valley floor 75 yards from golden canyon trailhead, in just a sleeping bag and pillow no tents around a bonfire after a middle aged couple running furnace creek campground told us about 3 rattlesnakes that could ruin your trip, when we got there it was june, the thermometer at the campground read 132% in the shade and it froze overnight, we hiked golden canyon, darwin falls, ubehebe crater and drove the bonejarring 3 hour road to the racetrack playa, i actually cried after we left to go home in the shitty san joaquin valley, scotty's castle was amazing too

I wish everyone can see the stars like this on the daily. Or some Odd reason , when you see stars like this it really makes you question a lot of things , especially Life. Makes your life and everything in it so small and insignificant to the vast world you just witnessed with your own eyes. The more you experience Earth and mothernature the more you'll realize what kind of a bubble society we live in. It's a shame people cannot see this in big cities, just surrounded by toxicity and stress and overwhelming amount of greed , dog eat dog world where some don't even help you , instead kick you while youre down. Take me back to the days of Indians and Mayans so I can live in peace and just watch the sky all day. I wish the word THANK YOU was currency and the old saying "I am a man of my word" actually held some ground. Why can't we just help each other to live love laugh? Instead you want to be better than the next person and leave them behind. Sorry for the rant i just got into it lol

This is a timelapse. I am shooting continuously all night long with a 25 sec shutter speed. It gets too dark use video at night. It's dark skies, you will see stars any night there isn't clouds. But if you are referring specifically to the Milky Way, then March to May will be your best time. The Milky Way is at it's best April to August, but starting in June it gets really hot in Death Valley, and it may not be as enjoyable.
