    When I was a kid i though that pictures or vidoes of the night sky like this were fake. I honestly didn't think there was anywhere on earth where you could see the stars like that. Now I hope to one day be able to see the stars like this.

    I saw the milkey way galaxy as a child in a dark Kansas field during may 2010 ish with no light pollution at all, it was incredible. the entire sky had so many stars they just looked like “space clouds” but it’s more fascinating to find out those “stars” are mostly entire galaxies. Billions of planets and possibilities. Life truly is captivating.

  • @itzfraggle9620

    @itzfraggle9620

    Unfortunately that is incorrect. Every star you can see in the night sky is still located in the milky way. Any star, nebula, or galaxy outside of the milky way is too far and too dim to see without very expensive telescopes and infrared filters. But in my opinion, this is even more impressive. Meaning the milky way is so incredibly vast, and yet it is only 1 of 2 trillion galaxies in the universe. Truly amazing and comprehendible how large the universe really is.

    Kinza K drive out north of Madisonville on I45 and exit OST. you cannot miss it, there's an Arby's. go west 3 or 4 min until you reach a little bridge. Park off the road and gaze at the beauty. Be sure to do it within a week of a new moon. See how many meteors you can spot and how small you feel with the vastness of the Milky way staring at you.

    When I was a little child in Mexico. One summer I stayed with some humble old folks who were like my grandparents. This was in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere. At night it was pitch black and you could see the whole night sky lit up with thousands of stars. When I saw the milky way I asked them what that was. They told me that when people die, that was the path they took from the Earth to heaven. I remember being in awe.

    One of the few good memories I had when I was in the Golf War (1990/1991) was when we were on stand to, while freezing to near death (lol) I got to see the most beautiful night skies ever in the deserts of Saudi Arabia and yes, the Milky Way was indeed present. The stars were so bright that you could literally read newspapers with. Still have those memories; just wish I had a good camera then. If anyone ever gets a chance to watch the night skies without any night pollution, take the opportunity to do so; you'll be glad that you did. :)

    127 people have no sense of wonder....or it just makes them uncomfortable to know just how tiny and insignificant they truly are when you sit quietly face to face with the cosmos. I think it's brilliant and amazing to know how little I am but how immeasurably immense my mind can be and what a loss for words I am when looking up at the night sky. Thank you. The music was pretty perfect for this as well.

    Well... being as the God of the Bible, The Only God, made all things, and will one day destroy this universe, and make a new one, this universe will one day end as in Revelation 20: and chapter 21. So no, we are not the universe, but a creation of God, (who indeed made the universe Himself) and the Lord Jesus Christ will be worshipped forever, as He is King of kings, and Lord of lords. My friends don't get sucked into this pseudo religion about the universe, the lie of evolution, or of a universe that made itself out of nothing... those are lies, instead come to Christ Jesus, who alone can give you life, the Bible says in John 3:16-21 16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” These are truths, repent and believe the Gospel, and if you have a Bible read the book of the Gospel of John, if you don't have a Bible you can download one.

    When i grew up in Arizona, we often would go on road trips to the grand canyon, Vegas ( mom was a poker player, i just enjoyed the bellagio fountains and the buffet), or new mexico. It was a must to stop in the middle of nowhere on a lonely road a hundred miles from any town or gas station, we get out and lie down and gaze at the sky. The skies of the desert are so clear and dry that the milky way is very bright. Its amazing. You cannot count all the stars you can see, there are tens of thousands. The light of the galaxy was bright enough to light up the ground and cast shadows, and you could see the clouds of dust and pinkish white nebulas glowing up above. Other times a storm would come in, so we would park and watch the lightning bolts instead.

The night sky is the definition of surreal and its a constant reminder of how vast our universe is and the fact that we are not alone. And I love how the more I stare into the constellations the more it looks like a beautiful and intricate map. Ughhh I live in the wrong place right now lol

    Thanks for making and sharing this wonderful video. I had seen night sky like this when I was a kid. Me and my sister along with my grandmother, who had long since passed away, used to sit outside in summer evenings and watched the countless stars above us. The great Milky way, the constellations and sometimes a shooting star. But now my neighbourhood had changed, construction boomed and there are tall buildings and commercial offices around us where lights blaze all light long so just a few stars can be seen. I miss those days so much.
