It's amazing how many old bands that make new music fail miserably at trying to recapture their old sounds. Then these guys come along and nail an era they never even played in.

British rockband F.M. have achieved that !
This was recorded in May 5, 1985. The band was so far ahead of it’s time that as the first album was pressed, the band, music, and videos were sucked into a time portal thirty years in the future. What a time to be alive!

I was listening to these guys way back in the 80s.
The Night Flight Orchestra is what you get when you take an entire era of rock and roll and distill it into nothing but the hits. It's criminal that it's been almost a year and this video hasn't blown up.
im hearing dokken,foreigner,ufo,europe,bon jovi,oh my god this reeks of 80s cheese praise/mocking.absolutely loving it.

And I think David, the bald guitarist, is a huge Richie Blackmore fan, I can see it in how he plays and hear it too, even in Soilwork.
"Amber Galactic" was my #1 album of 2017 (and I'm a True Heavy Metal fan). It takes me by storm. Just listen and enjoy. Up to the Stadium ! That is where this wonderfull music belongs !
Bjorn is so serious and chill in person, I never expected him and Sharlee to start a band like this lol, it's badass tho.
I would so love these guys to go full 80's and bust out a keytar or a steinberger headless bass......love the NFO as theyre a timewarp back to the best period of music.

I didn't love him at all until The Night Flight Orchestra. Absolutely amazing! I dig the early Soilwork albums though.

blue screen filming and crappy colour adjustment are existing since 60s. Video pattern generators and video editing racks are around since late 70s.
That bit from 3:08 onward is just so pure rock'n'roll fun! The whole track is amazing!

"Speed" sounds a little bit like the great Graham Bonnet...however, this is fantastic stuff in the tradition of Foreigner, Toto, Asia or Europe. Back to the old school ! 80ies style at its best. :-)

Awesome job again, I like Bjorn's vocal so muc. He shows his versatility as a singer, he sounds completlely different than in Soilwork but still manage to be very impressive.

Got to love the death metal people coming here expecting to hear something extreme and typically complaining . Clean vocals and good song writing is really hard for their ego to handle. Other music exists. Great to have Nuclear Blast releasing something different. One of my favorite bands and every album is great. Speed keeps getting better with each album and i love the production on this one.
