People really forget Christian McCaffrey in 2020 , 2021 and 2022 dude struggled and had injuries issues. They hating so hard on Barkley. If Barkley is really the focusing point dude can have the best year in his career and he had 2000 all purpose yards twice

If you watch the Giants video where they discussed getting rid of Saquon, the only guy whose voice mattered in my opinion was the Director of Pro Scouting who was totally against the move.

What I’ve realized is that football is far too nuanced for most people to analyze properly. Nobody cares how good your offensive line was, how much pressure the passing game takes off the running game, how often you get the ball, the situations you get the ball in, the play call etc… if you bring that up it’s “excuses” but football is truly a chess match. Every piece affects the game in ways that don’t show up in the stat sheet. Saquon is elite and he will finally have what he needs to show it.

Kind of like how building a team to get to the Super Bowl is different from building a team to win the Super Bowl. You have to build a team that can dominate your division to get into the playoffs, but then along comes a team from the other conference that just happens to be built exactly right to exploit all your weaknesses and you get your ass kicked.

I am primed and ready to watch The EAGLES Revenge Tour! Howie Roseman is equipping them to remain a top 4 team behind K.C., S.F., and Dallas - due to the 2023 season ending "collapse". The 49'ers "clipped" The EAGLES wings and grounded them. Foundational changes in strategy like a chess match have been made including coaches, coordinators, players and staff. Howie swallowed his pride on Chauncey "C.J." Gardner-Johnson and others in the new reality of larger and larger contracts(read gambling). C.J. is returning to an Eagles safety unit that struggled mightily without him. The Eagles finished 31st in pass defense in 2023. IMHO he gives the team that D.Sammuel swagger-that confidence missing last season. Great teams require outsized personalities like A.J. Brown, Jason Kelce, and Big Play SLAY!!! I think Barkley is going to have some colossal seasons with the Eagles. The Giants didn't have an O line as good as the Birds while Barkley was there and they also lacked a supporting cast. And speaking of Christian McCaffrey, the Birds Will Shipley looks an awful lot like him! They're the exact same size and Shipley's skill set is very similar. Go Birds!

I’m a glass half empty kind of guy. Barkley has never had an O line like we have so hopefully it means he’ll have a great year. I like your point about the RPO with Jalen and Barkley. That definitely gives the offense a different dynamic it didn’t have before, plus the Kellen Moore effect which we all hope will make a difference. Hopefully no more high school offense.

Our running game will be awesome!

An offense that is not coached by a junior high coach is going to be better than last year. We have just as many weapons and they're going to be used far better. I think saquon is going to have a breakout year and the Eagles offense is going to crush San francisco.

I was so baffled when they went away from the RPO that was so successful in 2022…glad to have an OC with control of the offense who’s adaptable and not just a scapegoat for Sirianni’s ineptitude at designing an offensive scheme

The Saquon narratives are wild af....Saquon's 2022 season, as far as rushing goes, was basically identical to his rookie season. Three 1,000+ yard seasons, and only 38 yards shy last season. The other 2 were injury shortened. Also, his rookie season was the only season he's had where there was more than just him for the defense to focus on. He's also ran behind a garbage o-line. Top 5 back.

Bottom line is the league is scared! There is absolutely nothing any team in the nfl can do with this offense! This has to go down as theeee greatest offense ever assembled in the nfl Ravens only have Lamar & Henry Cheifs only have pat and Travis 49ners only have CMC and sometimes Debo But the eagles have not only the best wr core but a machine for a qb who can do it all plus a star RB I never seen this kind of stacked offense before EVERRRRR this year it’s ours without a question

You miss whats happening, the Eagles are going to be using the pistol formation a TON, and Barkley fits that perfectly

We need the offense we had with Frank Reich and mix some of that west coast style Andy Reid in.

I think it's a good move keep in mind the year we won it we had a big back which was LeGarrette Blount so I think adding Saquon was brilliant but very surprising cause I was almost positive ge was going to Houston

I think Cam Jurgens will surprise us and if Becton starts at guard, Saquon will earn about 1500 yards this season.

I think this offene depending on how well the chemistry develops will be very explosive

There is no doubt in my mind that Barkley is an upgrade from Swift. Getting him on grass and behind our OLine gives him a better chance at staying injury free. Time will tell but the excitement on the team is going to help.

Everyone is rightly focusing on the improvement in offensive talent around Barkley and the significantly better offensive line as the top reasons why Barkley will be much better in 2024 vs the last couple of years. But keep in mind one other significant fact. Playing 8 or 9 home games at MetLife Stadium takes a toll on any player’s body, but especially an RB or WR. SB has a higher probability of avoiding injuries just by leaving that pit of a stadium for the grass at Lincoln Financial. Personally I think he has his best season since his rookie year, maybe best ever.

I hope the Saquon experiment turns out to be the right move but can't help thinking if we would have kept Swift much cheaper contract and under the new OC would have been very good as well.

Yea Thomas....we have so many weapons on offense I don't see how any defense can stop us!!!! We should be blowing teams off the field.....literally!!! I don't think it's unrealistic at all for us to put up 40+ points a game!!!!!

Adding Barkley to this offense is going to completely open it up. Saying he isn't a special player is just stupid. There are very few running backs who can elevate a team in the ways he can. This was the perfect signing for them, and as long as the line can gel quickly after losing Kelce, this should be the most dangerous offense in football. The defense has the opportunity to really take a step forward as well, but there is a lot of youth at key positions, so I think the first 6 weeks are going to be an experiment to see what works best, and who steps up. During that time, they're going to have to rely on the offense to win them games. I'm fairly confident they can win 12+ games this year.

I think people tend to forget that after the injury and after his rookie season, Barkley has been the only offensive weapon on the giants. Defenses really only had to plan for him. Combine that with a subpar O-line and he was doing pretty well all things considered.

I'm still worried about the LB core this year!!!!!!!

I really think bark can really make this offense explosive again he was the only weapon on the giants offense, still racked up really good yards,w/ last ranked offensive line. We’ve had undisputedly 1-2 oline. If everyone remains healthy the sky is the limit. Plus with Barkley being back home and remaining close it’s the perfect scenario for him. He will be protected (which will reduce injury), has an ultimate weapon in hurts (running and throwing), and an all star team in WR/TE (goedy, smitty, brown, hopefully Ross) all BURNERS AND MITCH MATCH made in HEAVEN!!!! Hands downnnn. **** added note!!! I’m really excited to see this dline with Clint hurt influence really feel it’ll unlock baby rhino, milt, and Godzilla

Imagine being Saquon and you are being told that you won’t make a big difference, after running behind one of the worst o-lines, being the only focal point of the offense, and putting mileage on your legs on the worst turfs in the NFL… he’s gonna be in heaven in Philly!

My major concerns are still Siriani and Hurts. Siriani needs to actually step back and let his coordinators do their jobs. And Hurts needs to go back to how he played in 2022 or at least closer to that version of himself. Show more confidence and be an active leader.

Focus on the running game and setting up the run. That alone will open up the pass. We’ve done a horrible job in the past of forcing the ball to our guys on the outside and they end up not being as productive. If we are more patient and establish the run early in the game, every single weapon will now be one covered. Just imagine that.
