I'm in Canada but became a fan of the Lions right when I heard Dan Campbell's HC acceptance speech. I heard it before the preseason 2 seasons ago. I predicted 10 to 12 wins this season. I predicted 8 to 10 wins last season. I predicted 3 to 5 wins the season previous ^ so many I's, annoying I know, but almost done: I also predicted no playoff attendance until this season and that this season we'd win at least 1 playoff game but not more than 2 plus that we could attend the Super Bowl as soon as next season but no later than 2 seasons after that one, and that these Lions would be the next modern Super Bowl dynasty team. (I say modern cuz traditionally it means winning at least 3 seasons in a row, lol)

Even when they were bad, they were my home team. I always rooted for them. Dan Campbell reminds me so much of Bill Cower

Goff has been the most consistent, reliable QB since he came into the league. Everybody slept on him, wrote him off but he’s hard to rattle and finds a way to win. No regrets on 16.

Some of those passes he made today were just beautiful. He was so spot on a few looked like almost INTs from one angle but from the other angles, no, he just threw them on a rope with absolute perfection. God I'm pumped about this team.

Detroit is the best example of why team culture is so important. That drive, motivation and momentum is what brings that energy and level of play from ALL players and not just the starters.

When they finally get healthy look out. They will have Amen Ra, Reynolds, Kalif Raymond, Jamo and Jahmyr Gibbs as the 2 speed missiles along with the big tight end La Porta. Montgomery, and one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. The defense will improve with players healing and returning as well as Brad Holmes improving the defense with solid picks.

Yes they held them, but they were very fortunate that Mayfield missed 3 very wide open touchdown passes. They had burnt our DBs. Well mostly Harris. We are down CJGJ and Mosley , James Houston.

I've seen terrible lions football. Downright depressing blowouts, heart breaking last seconds losses.. This feels almost unreal. All that misery makes this so much sweeter!

Been waiting almost 60 years for this! Mixing my Lions and Michigan garb every week. Right down to my earrings. I wear one of each. They completely clash and I do NOT care!!

The thing that stands out the most to me is the after contact yardage. Im so used to seeing dudes just drop from the slightest contact. The lions are pushing for extra yards on every play, playing it as hard as possible from whistle to whistle, just look at Reynolds block.

Purdy without Mccaffery can't even squeeze out 150 passing yrds . Goff without ST Brown/Gibbs, he finds other players. Goff without MONTY, 3rd AND 4th string SHOW UP . Defense missing 2 CB's and can adapt to shutdown Mayfield. JMOE showed the tip of the lions spear today. He's the secret weapon that we don't want other teams to know about. Lot of people giving him slack here now but hes our playoff weapon. I'd rather keep him in his sheath until the time comes. Keep him HEALTHY. The GOFFesnse is REAL . LIONS BABY

When you look at the history of Detroit sports or even the city as a whole, they are most successful when they do something a little out of the box, are fueled by passion and drive to do anything and everything needed, and are unmistakably Detroit in how they carry themselves. The Lions right now are doing JUST THAT and it's paying off big time. As a lifelong Detroiter, I can't wait for what the rest of the season holds and what's coming. But at the end of the day, I'm just happy we're winning.

I don't want to hear any more how everything has to be perfect for Goff to succeed. The OLine was fairly porous today, he had no run game for a huge chunk of the time, on the road, on grass, hurt TE. 107.5 passer rating.

Tampa was blitzing a lot. Like a heck of a lot. Considering that, Goff had a decent pocket to work with most of the day. Even the Tampa D like said the Lions O line played well after the game.

I've been a fan of the Lions since the tail end of the Billy Sims/Eric Hipple era - seeing this finally happen after all these years, makes me finally be proud to be a Lions fan. Amazing how all the cynicism and despair just gets released when the W's start flowing our way. Coach Campbell and his staff have done one of the most amazing turnarounds in Lions history and finally ownership has just let them cook properly. Good times are a-coming to the D for years to come.

The fact they are still doing well with half of their team being injured is incredible.

I've been watching Detroit for 15 years, we've had some lethal attacks over the years. We'd have losses that were like 40-49, really high scoring losses. In that time I've never seen our defense as strong as it is right now, we can grind out tight games and more importantly our defense and offense are as disciplined as it has ever been, we aren't giving away penalties on O and D that in years past would give up so much ground. This is a different Team to any I've ever seen. Give our game an A today simply because we did not give up a single Touchdown against a good offense, while our offense battled but got it done, Goff slinged it, our running game was good and when we needed to we chewed up time. Such a balanced and mature performance!

You could see this coming last year. 1-6 first 7, but within one score and had bad breaks in almost all of those games. Then they rattled off several great wins to wrap up the season. They figured out they could win last year, then brought in Branch and LaPorta to cap things off... And the D!

I'm a 36 year old lions fan.. this video gives me goosebumps talking about the lions like this. My dad was at the playoff win in the silver dome. I will be at one myself soon.

The Jamo factor is definitely there, even if his stats don't initially impress. His speed and ability to get downfield fast forces defenses to play at least one safety deep to contain Jamo to avoid giving up a huge play. With a safety drawn away from the play, it is essentially 11 on 10. The backs will then have to adjust to fill the gap. The step or two it takes to make those defensive moves are all that is needed for our other receivers to get open enough for a play.

They haven't been playing him because defenses are playing close and stacking the box for run plays, and he's not that kind of back. The instant defenses start rushing 4, he's gonna break out. This team hasn't even peaked yet on either side of the ball, the rest of the league better start sweating.

I was watching the game with my friend last night, we both agreed that the Lions might have the most depth overall in the NFL. It’s truly the culture Dan Campbell has brought to Detroit that’s made this team of really good players so freaking great.

@@chrisx5127no, they won’t. They have a lot to improve. Baker isn’t going to take you to that level especially without the threat of a run game. It’s not just the RBs though too. They don’t run block well either. Their D will be legit, but above all else, Todd Bowles leaves a LOT to be desired as a head coach. They really need to find another coach to take over and let him just run the defense.

With 6 games under his belt, I believe my naming of the OL & DL is more accurate than when I first suggested it a few weeks back. Dan has created the winning " Rhythm" of the Ol and the " Blues " of the DL. " Rhythm and Blues " Lions is now an apt description of their methodology of putting out a high and constant team effort.

I'm looking forward to seeing our run defense against Baltimore. We need our lick back from last season!

Freaking Vita Vea and Lavonte David had me nervous, then Goff just started going chunk play. We couldn't run so we had to lean on Jared, and we can do that too. Shout out to Netflix for a block that took out two guys in actuality (go back and look, the replays are everywhere) 8>D

Been a Lions fan for 60 years now and me and father were AT the ONLY playoff game that they have won!!! He's 97 and still kicking... He can't really even remember being there is been that long.... And he's old now!!! I just want the chance to give him a playoff ticket for Christmas like i did in 1992 and go also whatchu them win ONE MORE!!! I THINK THIS IS THE TIME AND CHANCE FOR THAT!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EARLY!!!

The Lions play in Minnesota on Christmas Eve, so quite possibly they could win the division on that day. I could envision something happening where there’s a lot of Lions fans that show up for that game to celebrate

I had a thought come over me while is was watching the game against the Bucs. “Is this what it’s like to have a good football team?”

It was a great game for the Lions! Baker Mayfield over threw a few receivers that had our secondary beat deep. I think 3 times. We won't get away with that from better QBs. Good win... No more getting beat deep. Game grade 6.5/10
