I’ve carried this tool daily for a couple of months. I bought it for the scissors, which are really good. I haven’t attempted to cut anything reasonable that they weren’t able to cut easily. I’ve used the file more than expected. I’m still discovering it’s usefulness. The Chinese engineers and manufacturers have upped their game. I carry this tool when I’m working on a project or going out for awhile and don’t want to carry a full multitool. Love it!

George, I really like the look of that multi tool. Nice size blade and great scissors. Around the house I find myself opening heat and eat type food packages with scissors instead of a knife. This tool would be good to have for a camp kitchen. Thank you for the review, take care.

A good price, the size of the scissors and blade are a great feature, I don't think the steel is that bad, would make for easy sharpening, thanks for the video, George.

Ok, that scissor spring was pretty cool. I bet you could turn that awl into a detail blade for whittling with not too much effort, looking at the size of the bevel

Describing steel, stainless for carton, package tape and label cutting: I open the carton, fold over the box flap, back strop over the fold. The blade is clean, and gets sharp in 6 or 10 strops! No problem at all! I got a mora knock off bait knife from a lake side park store. USA flag and patriot slogans. Hmm what to buy for a show of support? Oh a lime green knife for 8.00. Wife got a green house. No rust and a leaf trimmer at ready in a jungle wet environment! No problems No complaints!

Hi there. 1) Steel on knife is actually 5CR15MOV not 420J2. You can confirm this with the manufacturer :) 2) The space on the file is for making the Phillips driver easier to access with your nails. 3) If you take the side that holds the flathead apart, you can reorder the tools such that you can fan them out by just opening the flathead first. You just need to order them like this: spacers all together, then flathead, then can opener and finally the awl. 4) Haven't tried the glassbreaker on tempered glass. Would be great if SOMEONE tried it... 5) There are vestiges of Plus scale tool ideas in the tool... The hex hole was left there to possibly prototype the idea of storing a Leatherman type jeweler/glass bit driver. I managed to reverse the plastic section opposite the glassbreaker and could fit a Swiss Army toothpick in the space left... So much potential. Cheers!

The scissors seem substantial. Too many multitools seem to have small, mediocre scissors. It's like scissors were an afterthought that's added just so the maker can add to the number of features on the tool. I remember,(Yup that old!), when 420 and 440 were "wundersteels". Nowadays if the steels don't have a dozen numbers and half the alphabet people turn their noses up. Glad you're not a knife snob George!

Not as easy as it appears. The Nextool measures 5mm x 5mm and does not fit anything I have found yet. One option is to grind it down to 4mm x 4mm to fit the Roxon Bit Adapter. Another option (which I prefer is to use liquid metal (JB Weld etc.) to bond it into a 1/4" square drive adapter. If you carefully wrap the Philips fitting with cellophane (single layer) it should remove easily once set. Piece of piss 😂

Nextool seems to have some interesting designs, especially related to their scissors. I appreciate a good budget steel and would not spend on the high end steels. I'm not familiar with the steel used in this tool, but like you I don't abuse my tools. I will be interesting to see the long term wear of this steel. Thanks for the review.
