Didn’t know that stun combo existed this patch. Definitely helps thank you! Also, I think another factor going for Cr HP punish counter in corner is if you mash the hellstab into Od Lariat you can combo into Level 1. But starting wheel kick instead won’t lead into level 1 UNLESS they’re crouching and you time it right, OR you punish counter with the absolute tip of the wheel kick and time it right; both being unlikely to be viable in a real match.

After watching this video even i can do zangief combos now, большая победа.

Thanks for the labbing results! I tried a crHP>fHK for the simplest corner carry possible at 25% (as I remembered), Gief got buffed good lol

Great video. I never thought to DR into stand LK or cr MP after stand fierce PC. A lot of times i connect to far away to dr hellstab. I swear lv1 didnt used to combo after DR cr MP, but i could be wrong or it was later buffed.

Punish crHP into stab OD lariat LVL 1 is automatic timing in corner 😮

hi there, i'm new to your channel thanks to yt's algorithm :) i just want tp contribute a tiny bit since you didn't mention/show this in the video so i'm assuming you're not aware of it yet: there's another alternative for the punish counter crHP midscreen combo using 1 drive meter 2HP (PC), DR 6MK, 3MP xx Lariat which you showed here for 3165 dmg, to just do Borscht Dynamite after the DR knee(6MK) for 3274 dmg but worse oki i guess. So the entire sequence is 2HP(PC), DR 6MK, TK Borsch Dynamite.

You make a good point, but I think you would only want to do that foe a kill, as the lariat and corner carry is quite a lot better than air spd :D

i agree, as i myself go for the lariat route most of the time due to better oki and corner carry :)

I'm trying to figure why sometimes the lariat is inconsistent and only lands one hit instead of two causing me to miss the dynomite.

It is because you need to manually time the dfmp before the EX-Lariat, and this can cause it to drop out if done too early. It has to be done quite late in the juggle. Hope this helps!

I mean thats just showing a way to get high damage without burning yourself out. But Giefs damage is so high this patch, if you do end up stunning someone, they will likely die with whatever combo you do that 35% or higher 🤣

And to add, if you have to resources to blow to secure the kill. If they are at 55% health or less and you happened to stun them, you can easily now go into his LV3 off of his OD Lariat. So you can do jHP, 6HP, 6MP, OD Lariat, SA3 or jHP, 6HP, drdc, 6HP, 6MP, OD Lariat, SA3 for 5.3k~5.7k damage without CA. Gief a powerhouse now.

you don't need camera close ups for this kind of video (maybe for framemeter or inputs but not camera)
